Abstract: An anti-shock spoke nipple comprises: a nipple body, having a big opening and a small opening connected with each other, with a groove formed on the side of the small opening; a big opening untapped area, located inside the big opening; a clamping area, located inside the small opening and on the lateral side of the groove; and a small opening tapped area, located inside the small opening and configured between the big opening and the clamping area; wherein, when the spoke goes into the clamping area, threads are formed inside the clamping area to clamp the spoke.
Abstract: Carbon fiber bicycle wheels are formed from parts cut from carbon fiber cloth and then joined together to form a rim, sidewalls, spokes, flanges and a center tunnel on which the flanges are mounted. The parts are then assembled, bonded together, and cured to form a wheel. During assembly, the spokes and the wheel are placed in tension by moving the flanges outwardly on the center tunnel after assembly and then bonding them in place to stiffen and strengthen the wheel. The spokes of the drive side of the rear wheel are specially shaped to accommodate torque transfer forces generated by pedaling.

Abstract: A spoke for a bicycle wheel has an elongated metallic material body that extends along a longitudinal axis X-X and has a first end portion for the attachment to a hub of a bicycle wheel, a second end portion for the attachment to a rim of a bicycle wheel and an intermediate portion having a portion which is flattened in a transversal direction Z perpendicular to the longitudinal axis X-X and extending along the longitudinal axis X-X up to the first end portion. The first end portion of the spoke is also flattened in the transversal direction Z and is gradually joined to the flattened portion of the intermediate portion along the longitudinal axis X-X.
Abstract: A spoked bicycle wheel is presented where the masses of a set of spoke connections for connection of a hub and a rim as a whole are imbalanced with respect to the rotational axis. In such a way the dynamic imbalance of the wheel due to localized mass increases at the valve and at a possible joint is reduced or eliminated.
Abstract: A method for increasing structural strength of spokes of a bicycle or a motorcycle, which adopts a mechanically processing measure to increase the structural strength of the bending section of the spoke. The spoke is many times compressed to process and harden the bending section of the spoke so as to enhance the metal strength (shearing strength) of the bending section. At the same time, the wire diameter of the spoke (cross-sectional area) is increased due to compression in accordance with the principle that shearing load=shearing strength×cross-sectional area. With least metal material and lower processing cost, the spoke can have highest structural strength.
