  • Patent number: 7581768
Abstract: An anti-effraction safety system for a door or window frame comprising a fixed frame and a mobile frame, in which the mobile frame comprises at least one sectional element with a longitudinal groove with two undercut portions set on opposite sides of a longitudinal central opening and in which at least one transmission rod slidably engages said groove and can be displaced in a longitudinal direction by means of a control handle. Fixed to the transmission rod is at least one closing element co-operating with a complementary detent fixed to the fixed frame. The transmission rod has two through openings both open on respective longitudinal edges of the rod. The closing element comprises two separate complementary parts fixed to one another, in which each of said separate parts engages a respective through opening of the transmission rod and has a respective tenon that slidably engages in a longitudinal direction a respective undercut portion of the groove.

  • Patent number: 7506902
Abstract: An auto-lock mechanism to be mounted on an image input/output device includes a first swingable element and a second swingable element. When the image input/output device is not slantwise and an upper cover of the device is opened, one of the first and second swingable elements swings but does not hook the other of the first and second elements. When the image input/output device is slantwise, both of the first and second swingable elements simultaneously swing, approach and hook each other such that the upper cover remains closed and is free from detachment to hurt a user.

  • Patent number: 6761382
Abstract: The present invention is a gravity-sensitive latch. The latch includes a pendulum pivotally secured between the actuating button or handle and the pawl. When the latch is in a first position, gravity acting on the pendulum rotates the pendulum so that it abuts the button or handle, permitting actuation of the latch. When the latch is in a second orientation, gravity acting on the pendulum rotates the pendulum away from the button or handle, thereby preventing actuation of the latch. The latch may use a wide variety of buttons, handles, or pawl/keeper combinations.

  • Patent number: 3954172
Abstract: A bait box for carrying fishing material and the like including a rectangular box having a pair of oppositely disposed hinged doors and a central compartment. Each of the doors is designed to be opened when a respective door is disposed as the upper horizontal surface of the box through cooperation with an internal weighted drum. The drum includes a slot through a flange which cooperates with a projection on each of the doors to permit a door to be opened when oriented as the upper surface of the box. In other orientations, the doors are locked in a closed position by cooperation between the flange provided on the drum and either of the projections. The drum includes a weight which always orients the slot formed in the flange at an uppermost position in all orientations of the box to permit opening of either of the doors when disposed on the top of the box.
