The latching member includes a main body portion, a first pliable leg portion, a second pliable leg portion, a first post portion, and a second post portion. The latching member is in a relaxed position when the handle is in the latched position and a flexed position when the handle is in the unlatched position. The handle includes at least one abutment member for displacing the main body portion of the latching member as the handle is pivoted from the latched position to the unlatched position. Displacement of the main body portion causes the first and second pliable leg portions to resiliently retract which retracts the first post member and the second post member from extended post positions to retracted post positions.

Abstract: In at least one embodiment, a door handle assembly is provided. The door handle assembly includes a door handle and a mount. The door handle can be attached to the mount. The door handle is adapted to allow a bolt to move into and out of a wall aperture. A cam assembly is disposed adjacent the bolt. The cam assembly includes a locking cam. The locking cam is adapted to abut at least a portion of the bolt. The locking cam is moveable between a locked and an unlocked position. A lock release mechanism is coupled to the cam assembly and to the door handle. The lock release mechanism is adapted to disengage the locking cam from the bolt when the door handle is actuated such that the bolt is free to move.

Abstract: This invention relates to a door lock comprising a lock body (3) fitted with a front plate and a bolt (4). The transfer of external force to the locking piece (5) in the lock body is reduced. The reduction of external force is arranged in two stages of transmission. At the first stage of transmission, the transmitted force is reduced using a wedge part (10) that is in force transmission contact with a lever (11). The second stage of transmission constitutes the lever.

Abstract: A door handle apparatus includes first and second handle cases constituting a door handle, a rotational-portion extending portion, an operational-portion extending portion, and a lock detection electrode of an electrostatic capacity sensor detecting that a door lock command is inputted, on the basis of a fluctuation of electrostatic capacity. The lock detection electrode includes an upper lock detection electrode and a lower lock detection electrode arranged to face an inner surface of an upper wall and an inner surface of a lower wall, respectively. A first electrode end surface of the upper lock detection electrode and a second electrode end surface of the lower lock detection electrode are formed into different shapes, so that a level of capacitive coupling between the lower lock detection electrode and the outer panel is set to be smaller than a level of capacitive coupling between the upper lock detection electrode and the outer panel.

Abstract: An automatic gate opener lock. The gate opener lock has a locking bolt which is moved between locked and unlocked positions by the movement of a swing arm of an automatic gate opener. To prevent movement of the locking bolt toward its locked position before the gate is closed, springs are arranged for resisting movement in that direction. The springs have a combined resistive force greater than the force required to move the gate. Only when the gate is closed, and the force from the swing arm may no longer be dissipated through gate movement, is the combined force of the springs overcome, and the locking bolt moved into the locked position.
