A pivotable ratcheting pawl may be engageable with the gearwheel to allow or prevent rotation of the gearwheel. Operation of the motor may drive the gear to drive the gearwheel in a rotary direction to energize the spring, and disengagement of the pawl from the gearwheel may allow stored energy in the spring to drive the gearwheel in an opposite rotary direction to thereby drive the rack to move the cable to unlatch the door latch.

Before the display panel is driven to the desired position, it is unlocked by bringing a holding device to a releasing state, and it is locked at the desired position by bringing the holding device to a holding state. At the holding state, a rotatable member connected to the display panel is gripped by the holding device, and the gripping force imposed on the rotatable member is removed at the releasing state. In this manner, the display panel is surely locked at an arbitrary position and is freely driven with a small driving force.

Input and output signal jack base seals and a power jack base seal provide effective seals between the housing and the signal and power jacks.

The switch has two states which indicate if the lock is open or closed. In addition, the switch includes a mechanical element which co-operates with the control lever when the lock is closed, such that the switch indicates that the lock is closed only when the tooth of the retaining pawl co-operates with the second locking notch of the bolt. The mechanical element includes a pawl which maintains the control lever in position, thereby preventing the switch from changing from the first state to the second state.
