  • Patent number: 8733804
Abstract: An interrupt structure of a power latch includes a cinching lever enabling automatic latching, a detecting lever having one end rotatably mounted at the cinching lever and the other end including an outer wall having gear teeth formed on an inner peripheral surface thereof, a gear part engaged with the gear teeth formed on the outer wall of the detecting lever, and a detecting auxiliary lever rotatably mounted at the other end of the detecting lever and having one end engaged with the gear part and the other end protruded outwardly. Therefore, the detecting lever is operated in an opposite direction to an operation direction according to the related art to prevent generation of interference with the cinching lever, thereby making it possible to decrease noise. In addition, rigidity of a detecting lever avoidance section formed at the cinching lever is reinforced, thereby making it possible to improve durability.

  • Patent number: 8720959
Abstract: The invention describes a remote-actuable door opener for installation in a door having a preferably positionally fixed door frame and having a door leaf movably mounted thereon. The door leaf has a movable door opener catch (1) and a remote-actuable blocking device (2) which interacts directly or indirectly with the door opener catch (1) in such a way that the door opener catch (1) can be switched into a blocking position and into a release position. It is essential that an actuating device (200) is provided which automatically sets the door opener catch (1) into a position in which the door opener catch (1) abuts against the lock catch (90) in the closed position of the door. Here, the door opener catch (1) is in particular formed from a bearing body (110) and from a catch body (10) which is displaceably guided on the bearing body and which is driven by the actuating device (200) in the direction of the actuating movement.

  • Patent number: 8701353
Abstract: A flush door handle includes a powered actuator that shifts the handle from a fully retracted position to an intermediate position. A user can then grasp the handle, and pull the handle to a fully open position to thereby unlatch the door latch. After a user releases the handle, it shifts to a closed position due to spring force or a powered actuator. The door latch may also comprise a fully powered version wherein the handle shifts from a closed position to an open position, and a powered door latch releases the door latch if predefined conditions are detected.

  • Patent number: 8672368
Abstract: The present invention is directed to improvements in latch design. The illustrated embodiment of the present invention is a rotary pawl latch with the capability to provide a compressive force between the first member and the second member. The illustrated embodiment of the present invention is of an electromechanical type. The control circuit of the latch detects when a striker attached to one member, for example a door, has moved the pawl to a first latched position. A motor is then activated that drives the pawl to a second latched position to provide compression between the first member and a second member, for example a door frame.

Rotation of the keeper causes a release lever to engage a stepped protrusion on the keeper and secures the keeper and latch. Activation of a solenoid or drive motor coupled to the release lever permits withdrawal of the latch from the housing. The axes of rotation of the keeper and release lever are located to greatly reduce the impact of pre-release forces to the door.

Abstract: In an embodiment, the door latch system is provided. A ratchet is movable between closed and open positions. A pawl is movable between ratchet locking and ratchet release positions. A release lever is movable between rest and pawl release positions. A lock link is movable between engagement and disengagement positions to transfer of not transfer movement of the release lever to the pawl release position into movement of the pawl to the ratchet release position. A double lock lever is movable between two positions to permit or prevent disengagement of the lock link. A double lock override lever is movable between two positions to permit or prevent the double lock lever from being in the double locking position. The ratchet can move the double lock override lever to the first position upon opening.

  • Patent number: 8522583
Abstract: In one aspect, the invention is directed to a closure latch for a vehicle door. The closure latch includes an emergency lock actuator to permit a person to lock the door in the event that the power lock actuator is unusable. The latch also includes an ‘impatient passenger’ feature, which permits the doors to be unlocked using the remote keyless-entry feature on the key fob even in a situation where an ‘impatient passenger’ had prematurely lifted the door handle of the vehicle. In some prior art latches, such an action by an ‘impatient passenger’ would prevent the drive motor on the latch from unlocking the latch, thereby necessitating the owner to press the unlock button on the key fob a second time. There is some overlap in the components that used for the ‘impatient passenger’ feature and the components used for the emergency lock actuator, thereby reducing cost and complexity of the latch.

Abstract: A lock device for sliding gates has a harpoon-type bolt element whose head enters a cavity of a keeper from a shaped hole, and is pushed inside a sleeve by a roto-translation that is controlled by a cam and tappet coupling until the system is locked Reverse motion is prevented by engagement between the anchor of a solenoid and an elongated cavity on the surface of the bolt shaft, however allowing the bolt to tolerate axial displacements from thermal changes or settlements. An unlock control logic allows release of the engagement via a European profile lock cylinder, a mechanical control remotely operated through a Bowden wire, or an electrically controlled solenoid. The control logic ensures the system operation follows the correct direction of motion of a cyclic state machine, to provide proper synchronization with the operation of the gate automation.
