Abstract: A display device for a vehicle includes a display panel, a control circuitry, and a supporting arrangement. The display panel displays a graphic display object and the control circuitry enables the displaying of the graphic display object, such that the information represented by the graphic display object is displayed based on a predefined physical environment condition. The supporting arrangement supports the display panel which is adjustable between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the graphic display object is visually accessible to a user inside the vehicle and in the second position, the graphic display object is visually accessible to at least one person outside the vehicle.

Abstract: A load strapping device (10) has a first elongated member (12) having a first end (14), a second elongated member (16) having a second end (18) and a pivot assembly (20) interconnecting the first and second ends. A strap end receiving assembly (22) is connected to a free end (24) of one of the elongated member (16). For use, one end of a strap (40) is engaged to the strap end receiving assembly. A load strapping arrangement over a load (44) is formed when a user, located at one side of the load, grips the device and lifts the one end of the strap to a first position just above the height of the load. From this position, the one end of the strap, by pivotal manipulation of the elongated members, is then fed over the top of the load until the one end of the strap reaches a second position at the other side of the load. After this position is reached, the one end of the strap is disengaged from the strap end receiving assembly and the device is withdrawn from the top of the load.

The control device includes an action plan unit, an external environment recognizing unit, and a traveling control unit. The terminal includes a position detection unit and an input unit. In a case where a prescribed condition is satisfied, the action plan unit computes or maintains a traveling route that is not restricted by a person to be present in a moving side area located on one lateral side for which a vehicle should be headed. In a case where the prescribed condition is not satisfied, the action plan unit computes the traveling route such that the vehicle reaches a parking position after moving straight for a prescribed distance or more. The prescribed condition is satisfied in a case where a position of the terminal is present in the moving side area.

Abstract: A deployable ballistic shield is disclosed. The deployable ballistic shield includes a plurality of layers formed of a high impact anti-ballistic Aramid material. The shield is selectively configured between a stowed condition, in which the plurality of layers are in contact with an adjacent layer, and a deployed condition in which the plurality of layers are suspended in a spaced apart relation with a gap formed between the adjacent layer. A handhold is defined at a top end of the shield. Aa foothold may be defined at a bottom end of the shield. The deployable ballistic shield may be used by law enforcement, military, and other personnel as a protective ballistic barrier. Gaps between the plurality of layers serve to absorb the kinetic energy of a ballistic round.

Abstract: The presently disclosed subject matter is directed to a device used to facilitate proper positioning of a vehicle jack beneath a vehicle. Particularly, the disclosed device includes a top face comprising a channel that is permanently attached to a vehicle jack point. The disclosed device further includes a bottom face comprising a support member that is releasably coupled to the receiving member on a vehicle jack. The disclosed device therefore enables a user to properly position a vehicle jack on a vehicle, even when conditions are such to prevent adequate inspection. The disclosed device can therefore be utilized in a manner to assure the safe and positive gripping of the vehicle by the jack during use, thus eliminating the hazards associated with improper positioning.

Abstract: The present invention relates to systems and methods for providing a dashboard computer system for a vehicle. Systems and methods are provided for installing a computer system in a vehicle dashboard. The dashboard or dashtop computer system includes components designed for installation of the system into the vehicle dashboard, such as a wiring harness for connection to the vehicle battery and/or audio speakers. Additionally, in certain embodiments, the dashtop computer system is configured for efficient and intuitive operation, such as by providing gesture-based commands to the computer system, and/or enabling the computer system to be disconnected from the vehicle battery and connected to an external device, such as a laptop computer, for software updates or data transfer. In an embodiment, the dashtop computer system utilizes a tablet computer, including a thin design, a touchscreen, and an internal battery.

According to the present invention, no external substances are introduced to a lower gap between the pedal arm and the pedal when the vehicle is running, thereby is preventing fatal traffic accidents.

The shelter system includes a towable trailer and a plurality of functional components for use in the deployed configuration.
