Abstract: The present invention is a vehicle observation apparatus for reducing the risk of injury to law enforcement persons during vehicle stops. The invention is also a vehicle equipped with the vehicle observation apparatus. In an embodiment, the apparatus may include a mast being mountable to and deployable from a law enforcement vehicle, means for two-way communication and observation secured about one end of the mast, means for operating the mast, and means for operating the means for two-way communication and observation. The mast may be telescopic and adapted to be placed in at least a first position and a second position, or may be non-telescopic and in an extended position when in use. The apparatus may also include means for adjusting positioning of the mast, a mast rotator, and an articulated joint interfaced with said mast and said means for two-way communication and observation.

Abstract: The mounting bracket assembly has a main structural member for attaching an electronic instrument. The main structural member has a joining portion to secure the main structural member to a frame of an automotive vehicle. A strut is secured to the main structural member, and the strut is able to abut against a trim secured to the frame so as to receive a reaction force from the trim. A stop lever is fitted on the main structural member, and the stop lever has a first end and a second end opposed to the first end. The stop lever pivots around the first end so that the second end comes toward and away from the trim. The second end is positioned near the trim when the stop lever is in its working position. The main structural member is located between the strut and the stop lever in the working position.

Abstract: A reconfigurable truck bed has a plurality of receivers. A variety of accessories have structure that mates with the receivers in order to support the accessories on the truck bed. The accessories may be selectively positioned in a particular receiver or set of receivers. The accessories may also be conveniently oriented or reoriented for a particular circumstance or use. As such, the truck bed may be selectively reconfigured to meet the needs of a user and provide a particular benefit. In another aspect, a body structure or a chassis structure of any motor vehicle may be provided with receivers. Frames providing the receivers may be added onto bodies or chassis of any motor vehicle.

Abstract: A center console for an automotive vehicle having a power outlet device, a wall and a bezel. The wall has a pair of channels that are spaced apart. The bezel has spaced apart and opposite sides. The sides of the bezel extend into the respective channels in the wall to constrain the bezel in a direction generally orthogonal to the bezel. The bezel also includes a retaining member that extends outwardly from an edge thereof. The retaining member is lockingly engagable with a tab extending outwardly from the wall to constrain the bezel in a direction generally parallel with the channels.

Abstract: A device for attaching and removing a vehicle component to and from a vehicle includes a vehicle body side formed with a contacted portion with which a component can come into contact and a locking device for making a locking action for removably attaching the vehicle component to the vehicle body side in a state of the vehicle component being held in contact with the contacted portion. The vehicle component is made capable of coming from outside into contact with the contacted portion and movable in one direction generally in a straight line while the vehicle component remains held in contact with the contacted portion, and the locking device is adapted to make the locking action as interlocked with a motion of the vehicle component in the one direction.

The sink assembly also includes a door that is movable relative to the mounting frame and a sink top connected to the door. The sink top has a sink bowl with a drain, and is movable between a stowed position when not in use or when the vehicle is traveling to an operational position for use of the sink assembly. The sink assembly also includes at least one attachable plumbing apparatus that is connectable to a fluid source. The sink assembly may further include a storage container for storing the plumbing apparatus when not in use or when the sink top is in the stowed position. The plumbing apparatus may include at least one of a faucet or a hose assembly.

Abstract: The invention concerns a component such as a lamp for fitting into a recess in a part of a body. The lamp is fixed in its reference position in the recess by a pivot projection engaging into an opening in the body, and by a V-shaped resilient detent element. The detent element has a first limb projecting inclinedly at an angle from the rear wall of the component. The first limb has a holding projection which in the reference position of the component engages behind an opening in the body. The free end of the second limb of the detent element carries dismantling projections which when the component is further pressed into the recess latch behind catches on the component to fix the detent element in a configuration in which the holding projection is released from its latching engagement with the body.

Abstract: A cover for a C-shaped truck bed extender has an end panel and a pair of opposed side panels joined to first and second panels to form an enclosure for the extender. The enclosure has an opening, and a closure panel is used to open and close the opening to provide a cover encasing the extender. The coat hanger support is comprised of a fabric webbing loop which is connected to the support structure in the space between the support structure and the headliner. The webbing loop extends from the space to a coat-hanger-receiving position and is foldable to a collapsed stowed position against the headliner. A hook-and-loop fastener is used to retain the collapsed webbing loop against the headliner.
