Abstract: A tonneau cover for a bed of a truck is provided. The tonneau cover includes several improvements including but not limited to a bulkhead panel that is secured to the truck. A first cover panel section pivotably attached to the bulkhead panel. A first intermediate panel section pivotably attached to the first cover panel section and a second panel section. A second intermediate panel section pivotably attached to the second cover panel section and a third panel section. The first cover panel section, the second cover panel section, and the third cover panel section fold to form a stack of cover panel sections which is pivoted upright onto the bulkhead panel which supports the stack of cover panel sections in an upright position. The second intermediate panel section sets upon the bulkhead panel when the stack of cover panel sections is pivoted upright onto the bulkhead panel.

Abstract: A cover for a truck bed that can be horizontally traversed between expanded and collapsed positions is shown. Since the cover is horizontally traversed, the person manipulating the cover need not lift the cover vertically in order to reconfigure the cover between the expanded and collapsed positions. Women and elderly people who are generally not as strong as men can manipulate the cover.

Abstract: A tonneau cover system, comprising: (a) one or more brackets secured to at least one of a pair of opposing sidewalls of a cargo box of a vehicle; (b) a foldable tonneau cover having a plurality of interconnected panels, at least one of the plurality of interconnected panels including: (1) one or more latch assemblies that engage the one or more brackets; and (2) an actuator assembly connected to each of the one or more latch assemblies by a cable, wherein actuation of the actuator assembly moves the cables that in turn release engagement of the one or more latch assemblies from the one or more brackets.

The cover member is sized and configured to cover a bed of a truck and may be remotely controlled using a remote activation unit. Abstract: A bed cap assembly for a cargo area of a vehicle, the cargo area includes a first bed wall and a second bed wall that is arranged at an angle relative to the first bed wall. The bed cap assembly includes a first bed cap configured for attachment to the first bed wall and a second bed cap configured for attachment to the second bed wall. The first bed cap includes a first channel, and the second bed cap includes a second channel. The first channel and the second channel are connected together. One or both of the first channel and the second channel may include a drain for evacuating fluid and/or debris from the first channel, the second channel, or both.

Abstract: This invention is relevant to a steady bed cover of pickup truck. The bed cover includes at least two plates. The adjacent plates are connected by rotating shaft structure. This invention provides a steady bed cover of pickup truck with simple structure and great leading function. The connecting strength of rotating shaft structure is enhanced with the cooperation of the ladder-like hook and strip convex. When the bed cover of pickup truck is laid horizontally, the rotating part and the rotating shaft part are subjected to reverse force and are mutually matched, thus enhancing the stability of the bed cover.

Abstract: The present invention is directed a tonneau system. More specifically, embodiments of the present invention provide a tonneau system, which includes multiple frame bars interconnected by latches. At least one of latches includes a rod that is operably coupled to its main portion, which includes an opening to accommodate the rod. The rod attaches to a hook jaw that includes two openings for attaching to the truck frame. There are other embodiments as well.

Abstract: A system and method for providing a folding load bearing hard tonneau cover, wherein each folding section is constructed using friction stir welds for strength, stiffness and visual appeal, wherein edge extrusions may include an integral attachment track which is capable of sustaining high tie down loads, wherein a spring loaded latching system has the strength to react the moments generated by heavy loads on top of the tonneau cover, wherein installation does not require modification to the bed but instead uses a 2 bolt attachment system, and wherein the tonneau cover may carry heavy loads on top that are easy to secure, and wherein a custom carrying frame is easily attachable to the tonneau cover to enable large and heavy loads, even some that are longer than the pick-up bed, to be carried on the tonneau cover while enabling use of the pick-up bed for other cargo.

Abstract: A flexible tonneau cover assembly is provided that includes a side rail and a rear rail that is removably securable to the side rail. The rear rail is rotatable between a closed position wherein a flexible cover secured thereto is under tension, and an open position wherein the flexible cover is untensioned. Optionally, the assembly includes a securing member that is securable in a fixed position with respect to the side rail and defines a channel, and the rear rail is rotatable between the open position and the closed position when the rear rail is positioned in the channel of the securing member. Optionally, the flexible cover includes a cable operatively connected to the rear rail, and the side rail receives the cable therein when the rear rail is in the closed position to secure the flexible cover to the side rail.

A plurality of posts are attached to the side rails and extend vertically through holes formed in the shell and have one or more storage racks attached to the posts whereby all of the weight of the storage racks and cargo supported thereon is transmitted through the internal frame and supported by the truck body. The frame members are formed of T-slotted members providing support for sundry items inside the shell.

Abstract: A convertible tarp system provides an extendable and retractable enclosure especially suited for covering a flatbed trailer. The convertible tarp system includes a plurality of bows and trolleys that support a tarp structure. A guide track defines a longitudinal path of movement and supports the trolleys for movement along the longitudinal path. The guide track is configured to substantially restrict lateral movement of the trolleys along the longitudinal path.

The locking element including a hook on a roll rod pivotally positioned within an arc section of the side rail. Abstract: The present invention relates to a raisable canopy system for a truck having a rear box with a first wall and a second wall opposite the first wall. A pair of actuator mounts are mounted to the first wall and the second wall, respectively. A canopy mount is connected to the pair of actuator mounts, is disposed adjacent to one end of the box and extends upwards from the box. A canopy substantially extends over top of the box and pivotally connects to the canopy mount. A pair of actuators are pivotally connected to and extend outwards from the pair of actuator mounts, respectively. The pair of actuators each pivotally connect to the canopy. The pair of actuators are configured to selectively move the canopy from a closed position in which the canopy covers and abuts the box to an open position in which the canopy is angularly spaced-apart from the box.

A cargo mat has a body portion overlaying the lid and is moveable with the lid between the closed position and the open position. An outboard flap extends beyond the lid to overlay a portion of the vehicle floor bordering the opening when the lid is in the closed position. The outboard flap is supported by the vehicle floor when the lid is in the closed position, and the outboard flap is hinged to the body portion such that the outboard flap extends downward at a hanging angle with respect to the body portion when the lid is in the open position.

Abstract: According to the principles of the present invention, a tonneau system for a cargo box provides a folding handle and a method to lock in place tensioning of the clamping system to the cargo bed of a vehicle. This clamping method is incorporated as part of a sub support frame and fore which clamps are used to align and mount the cover to the cargo bed.

Abstract: A combination trailer is provided that includes a rear self-discharge trailer having a bottom surface, a front portion, a back portion, and two opposing side panels. The side panels of the combination trailer have a height that is less than the height of the front portion. One or more one locking pin assemblies are also included in the combination trailer and are attached to at least one of the side panels of the rear self-discharge trailer such that the locking pin assemblies can be used to secure the enclosure system in a desired position.

Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to a multipurpose transport system, a roof assembly, and methods for transporting forest biomass and wood residuals. Roof assemblies according to the disclosure are mountable on a top portion of a transport system. In some embodiments, roof assemblies include two or more panels, one or more panel movements assemblies operably connected each of the two or more panels, and one or more actuation assemblies. The two or more panels extend from a first side of the roof assembly to and second side of the roof assembly in a louvered configuration. Each of the two or more panels are moveable between a first position and a second position. Further aspects of the disclosure are directed towards multipurpose transport systems and methods for transporting forest biomass and wood residuals using systems according to the disclosure.

Abstract: A retractable tarp system having automated closing mechanisms used in conjunction with the front and rear of a truck or vehicle-pulled trailer. The automated system of closing the tarping system may include air cylinders, hydraulics or electric motor with closing mechanisms for the dual closing system. The rear system may include linear actuators on each side adapted to pull a cable with a distal hook that may selectively engage the tarp structure. For redundancy, the front system may be air-operated while the rear system is electric. The truck driver operates a switch or button to open and close the closing mechanisms of the retractable tarp system, and may connect and disconnect a hook on a rear closing mechanism that pulls the tarp tightly closed.

The cover plate body is a three-layer structure, comprising an outer layer, an intermediate layer and an inner layer from the exterior to the interior. The outer layer is made of polyurethane foam mixed with glass fiber; the intermediate layer is made of polyurethane foam and the inner layer is made of resin; the density of polyurethane foam in the intermediate layer is lower than that in the outer layer; polyurethane foam is light in weight and high in specific strength. In this invention, the cover plate body is made of three different layers so that the cover is light in weight and high in strength, taking up less room of the rear truck bed, better for free opening and closing operation.

Abstract: A camper shell kit including a plurality of removable panels that are individually mountable onto a frame is herein disclosed. The frame serves as the skeleton for the shell and also provides a base for an optional top-mounted rack. Each panel may be mounted individually to the frame to create customized camper shell configurations. Panel insertion may not require the use of tools. Panels can be interchanged with others made of different materials for specific tasks. The frame may be integrated to match the shape of the truck and provide flush mounting for shell panels offering a smooth, integrated appearance with the vehicle. The frame mounts directly onto standard truck bed mount points which may provide maximum strength and load-bearing capacity. The frame permits the panels to be locked into place providing security for the payload against theft.

Abstract: A tarpaulin structure for covering a cargo space and used in combination with a support and retraction system includes a body and an openable sleeve for a plurality of the cross supports of the system. Connectors hold the sleeves closed about the cross supports. The tarpaulin system may be installed onto and removed from the cross supports of a tarpaulin support and retraction system without requiring the user to disconnect the cross supports from the drive cables.

Abstract: A retractable tarpaulin cover system includes a tarp cover, plural spaced substantially U-shaped bows supporting and connected to the tarp cover, movable carriages operably connected to lower ends of each bow, a tensioning mechanism which moves an end one of said bows toward an endmost position thereof to tension the tarp cover in an expanded position of the cover, and a tension distributing mechanism which distributes the tension of the tarp cover between the end bow and another of said bows adjacent to said end bow. The tension distributing mechanism includes a collapsible brace interconnected between the end and adjacent bows.
