  • Patent number: 11142050
Abstract: A retractable cover system includes laterally spaced apart guide rails that define an opening and each provide a track. A drive assembly includes a motor that drives a first gear. The first gear is coupled to a second gear. A cover has multiple slats configured to interlock with one another in a deployed configuration. The slats cooperate with the drive assembly and are slidable in the tracks between first and second positions within the opening in response to actuation of the drive assembly. The slats are stacked onto one another in a stowed configuration. The motor is disconnected to the slats with the first and second gears in the decoupled position for manual operation.

  • Patent number: 7878572
Abstract: The invention belongs to the field of automobile parts, in particular, to a tonneau cover installed on the notchback (pickup) for covering and closing the rear truck bed. The tonneau covers of current vehicles are either too thick or heavy so it influences the flexibility of opening and closing and its requirements to the actuating mechanism are high; its thickness is large; and it occupies more of the already limited room of rear truck bed. This invention provides a truck bed back cover which occupies less rear truck bed room and is strong in strength, flexible in opening and closing and excellent in operating performance. It consists of the cover plate body which matches with the rear truck bed and is made of base materials. The base material is glass fiber reinforced polyurethane. The cover plate body is provided with an integral structure framework. The framework makes the cover plate body form protruding arises on the surface of the side facing to the truck bed.

  • Patent number: 7588283
Abstract: A rigid cover assembly for covering the rear cargo compartment of a pickup truck. There is a tip plastic sheet that may have an acrylic surface placed over it for improved visual appearance. A bottom plastic sheet conforms to the shape of the top plastic sheet and is joined around the perimeter to the top plastic sheet. There is a fiberglass layer that is placed on the inside surface of the top and bottom plastic sheets that provides a bonding means for attaching a honey comb structural layer to the fiberglass layers. This provides light weight structural strength to the cover. The honeycomb that is attached to the plastic sheets reduces wetness marks.
