Abstract: A seat post assembly for a bicycle includes a first tube having a first distal end and a second tube having a second distal end. A distance between the first distal end of the first tube and the second distal end of the second tube is at a maximum when the first tube is in a first position relative to the second tube. The seat post assembly also includes a first chamber and a second chamber that are fluidly coupleable. The first chamber is a positive fluid chamber, and the second chamber is a negative fluid chamber. The seat post assembly includes a fluid volume disposed in the first chamber and the second chamber. The fluid volume includes a compressible fluid. The first chamber is configured to act as a spring configured to bias the first tube towards the first position relative to the second tube.

Abstract: An adjustable seat for a riding device includes a frame adapted to be attached to the riding device. A saddle has an underside and a fastening mechanism is attached to the underside of the saddle. A spring seat is attached to the frame. A removable compression spring is positioned between the fastening mechanism and the spring seat. The fastening mechanism is adjustable so that a compression of the spring between the fastening mechanism and the spring seat may be adjusted.
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a saddle for bicycles, having a vertical swiveling unit and a horizontal sliding unit so that the saddle is moved vertically and horizontally, thus providing a sensation similar to that of riding a horse to a user. The saddle is coupled to a seat support frame of a bicycle, and includes a seat sliding unit provided on a lower surface of a seat to move the seat forward and backward, as a user moves forward and backward while sitting on the seat. A guide part with a predetermined length supports the seat sliding unit to guide a horizontal movement of the seat sliding unit within a predetermined range, with a free end provided at a rear end of the guide part to allow the guide part to be swiveled vertically, when a weight is applied to or removed from the guide part. A swiveling spring is provided at a front end of the guide part to provide a vertical elastic force to the guide part.

Abstract: A bicycle seat is provided which is designed to relieve pressure on the perineal area of riders, as well as relieve pressure on the ischial tuberosities, commonly known as the sit bones, of a rider. The seat includes a mount in the form of a pair of parallel and spaced apart mounting members. A pair of a support members extend upwardly and rearwardly in relation to the respective mounting members for supporting a pair of annular seat members thereon which support the buttocks of the rider. The support members and seat members supported thereon are movable relative to the mounting members between flexed and unflexed positions. The seat members include a peripheral seating surface about a central opening which suspends the sit bones of the rider therein. The seat is simple in construction, being formed by bent rods of material with padded material injection molded integrally about the rods.
Abstract: A bicycle seat has a pair of guide rails each having a seat pad pivotably attached to the front end of the guide rail. An elongated support has a wing at each end. The guide rails travel on the wings in two substantially parallel paths. A pulley is mounted on the center of the elongated support. One or more straps are connected to the front ends of the guide rails or the back ends of the guide rails so that motion of one guide rail in a first direction causes movement of the second guide rail in an opposite direction. One or more springs can be connected between the guide rails and the elongated support.

Abstract: A bicycle saddle is composed of a main body, a support frame, two shock-absorbing devices, and a bridge. The main body has a shape narrowing toward the front end thereof and is provided in the underside of the rear end thereof with two fastening posts. The main body is mounted on the support frame which is formed of two steel bars such that the front ends of the steel bar are joined together and fastened with the front end of the main body. Two steel bars have a hooked rear end. The shock-absorbing devices are fastened with the fastening posts of the main body and the hooked rear ends of the support frame and are composed of a cap, a shock-absorbing pad, and a base. The shock-absorbing pad has one end which is retained in the cap, and another end which is provided with a recess for retaining a conical portion of the base. The hooked rear ends of the support fame are engaged with the bases of the two shock-absorbing devices.
Abstract: A shock-absorbing bicycle saddle including a resilient seat for engaging the crotch portion of a user and a frame for attaching the seat to a conventional, seat post of a bicycle. The frame has a support bracket formed from stiff wire. One end of the support bracket is secured by a shock dampener to the seat and the other end thereof is secured by another shock dampener to a seat post attachment bracket. Each of the shock dampeners includes a number of cushioning blocks adapted to receive therein one of the opposed ends of the support bracket. In an alternative embodiment of the saddle, the shock dampener adjacent the seat post attachment bracket is replaced by a pair of coiled loops integrally formed with the support bracket.
