The interlocking portion of the seat portion slides onto the interlocking portion of the support spine over the first end. The modular seat assembly further includes an end cap lockably disposed over the first end that prevents the seat portion from sliding off the support spine.

Abstract: A Napoleonic chair includes a plastic seat plate, front chair legs, rear chair legs, connecting rods between front and rear chair legs, and a plastic back. The front chair legs comprise front chair leg mounting elements composed of steel tube and plastic casing tubes which sleeve the periphery of the front chair leg mounting elements, while the rear chair legs comprise rear chair leg mounting elements composed of steel tube and plastic casing tubes which sleeve the periphery of the rear chair leg mounting elements. The connecting rods between front and rear chair legs include a steel tube and a plastic casing tube which sleeves the periphery of the steel tube. One end of each longitudinal pipe of the rear chair leg mounting elements is inserted into the plastic back. Two ends of the steel tubes of the rods are inserted into the plastic tubes of the front and rear chair legs, respectively.

Abstract: A component interface assembly for attaching the individual subcomponents of an RTA furniture system. Each component interface assembly having an elongated alignment slot cut into one of the subcomponents of the RTA furniture kit and a retention element affixed to a second corresponding subcomponent such that the first and second subcomponents can be secured together by inserting the retention element into the alignment slot. The alignment slot is positioned on the first subcomponent such that positioning the retention element for insertion into the slot aligns the second subcomponent with the first subcomponent providing tool-less alignment and engagement of the subcomponents. The assembled components may have cutouts on confronting planar surfaces of the respective first and second subcomponents providing enhanced storage for shipping the RTA furniture components.

Abstract: Modular furniture includes several members connected together without fasteners or other hardware. While some of the members slide together, some members are locked in place by other members. The modular furniture includes one or more members that engage other members in a twist and lock fashion that helps hold the modular furniture together during everyday use. The twist and lock may be achieved using a substantially L-shaped slot in one member and a corresponding slot in a mating member, which allows the mating member to rotate (twist) within the L-shaped slot. The modular furniture is locked together at several different members and stages of assembly, and includes a final stop member that assures the furniture cannot come apart inadvertently during normal use.

Abstract: A system and method for converting a yoga chair into a chair is herein disclosed. Specifically the yoga chair comprising a seat, wherein said seat comprises a flat surface capable of supporting a user's body in a yoga position, a base, and a quick release system that connects said seat to said base. In one embodiment, the quick release system can comprise a snap mechanism. In another embodiment, the quick release system can further comprise a plate comprising a plate orifice, wherein the base comprises a shaft. In another embodiment, quick release system can comprise a shaft cap that mates with a shaft on base.

Abstract: A nursing chair may be sold as a kit comprising a first side panel, a second side panel, a front panel between said first and second side panel, a front fabric cover, a back fabric cover, a first side armrest, a second side armrest, a seat between the first and second side panel, a back rest between the first and second side panels and a rocker assembly for supporting said chair and imparting a rocking motion to the chair. Suitable fastening means are included in the kit. The chair may be sold assembled.

Abstract: A knock down furniture system is presented. The furniture uses joints which bend or twist a panel when inserted into an adjoining panel to place the joint under stress and stiffen the joint. Preferably, tabs are used in combination with offset or rotated slots to achieve the same. The system allows for furniture which does not require fasteners or tools and which is easily assembled while still being stable. Parts of the furniture can be interchanged within a piece of furniture or between different pieces of furniture to customize the configuration of the furniture.

Abstract: Furniture is constructed from a plurality of vertically oriented slats whose upper edges form at least one functional surface and that have tabs formed along their side edges and accommodating notches formed within their bottom edges. Tabs fit within notches allowing slats to connect perpendicularly and hold each other upright in spaced relation without a superstructure or any continuously extending support components.

The attachment means allow the height, width, and length of the device to be adjusted to fit around the piece of furniture. The device also features securing tabs pivotally attached to the top edge of both the center panel and back panel. The securing tabs help keep the device secured around the furniture.

Abstract: The present invention relates to modular furniture. More specifically, embodiments of the present invention relate to upholstered furniture, including chairs, sofas, loveseats, and beds that are operably configured for removing and/or replacing one or more component of the furniture, such as arm rests, support legs, backs and sides. Preferred embodiments include an upholstered chair comprising: a base having a seat fixedly connected with a backrest; and a plurality of glass block sides removeably connected with the base. The modular furniture systems of the invention can be used by consumers to replace selected components of the furniture with updated components for a new look.

An armrest is removably attached to the side of the seat bottom frame, and can be set to different positions relative to the seat bottom. The armrest has a seat control mounted to an outside of the armrest, and an input transfer mechanism disposed inside the armrest. The input transfer mechanism has an end engaged to the seat control, and a receiver end. The input transfer mechanism is cable-less. A couple shaft is engaged with the receiver end and engaged with the seat translation and rotation mechanism. When the seat control is actuated, the input transfer mechanism causes the seat translation and rotation mechanism to allow the seat bottom frame to at least one of translate and rotate.

Abstract: This invention concerns a sofa which solves the problems of the prior art by providing a sofa that can easily be assembled or disassembled by the end consumer at home. The furniture set described can be assembled so the major piece is either to the left of the secondary piece or to the right of the secondary piece. The way this invention accomplishes these results is as follows: Chaise sections can be assembled by placing the seat back flat on the ground and placing the seat frame/arm upright on top of the seat back. A metal threaded rod is used to connect the seat frame and the seat back. A metal nut is used to secure the seat frame to the back using a wrench that comes provided in the package of the kit. The legs are then twisted onto the bottom of the seat frame.

Abstract: This invention concerns a sofa which solves the problems of the prior art by providing a sofa that can easily be assembled or disassembled by the end consumer at home. The disassembled sofa can be stored in 3 flat boxes. Storage in the flat boxes not only helps the warehouse to store the sofa, but when the end user has purchased the sofa it is easier in such flat boxes to transport it to the location where it will be assembled. The way this invention accomplishes these results is as follows: The parts of the sofa can be broken down into three boxes. Abstract: A highchair comprises a seat and a leg portion, and two embedding holes are formed on both sides of the seat respectively, and a latch groove is formed at an end of the seat. The leg portion includes two latch bumps and a link axle, and the latch bumps correspond to the embedding holes respectively, and the link axle corresponds to the latch groove. The latch bumps are engaged with the embedding holes and the link axle is engaged with the latch groove to couple the seat and the leg portion. In other words, the seat and the leg portion are coupled securely and reliably in different degrees of freedom. After the use of the highchair, users can simply separate the latch groove and the embedding holes from the link axle and the latch bumps respectively to disassemble the highchair.

The retractable coupling device includes a rotating bolt that couples the seat to the mounting receptacle by entering the mounting slot, rotating, and engaging the underside of the mounting face. The rotating bolt disengages the seat from the mounting receptacle by rotating so as to become aligned with the mounting slot and retracting from the mounting slot and into the seat.
