The rear and front vices include clamping cylinders that are independently controllable so as to independently clamp and unclamp their respective vices. When photoelectric sensors detect the rear end of work, the remaining length is calculated, which is then divided by the fixed-length feed amount to calculate a remaining number of possible cutting operations. The remaining number of such operations are carried out by using either a combination of the front vice and a transfer vice unit or the front vice alone to pull out the work.

Abstract: A green concrete saw that allows for precise adjustment of a height of a circular saw blade is provided. The saw provides for the circular saw blade to be secured to a front end of a mainframe mounted on an undercarriage. A major height adjustment is performed by adjusting the height of the mainframe relative to the undercarriage. Further, the undercarriage supports wheels for the saw, and a fine height adjustment is performed by adjusting the height of a front end of the undercarriage relative to the ground through the use of an eccentric front axle.

Abstract: A method and the associated apparatus for the removal of floor coverings are presented. The removal of floor coverings is achieved in that up to 24 grooves (21) with a width (b) of 3 mm to 10 mm and with a depth (t) of up to 40 mm are simultaneously milled into the floor covering (20) at spacings (a) of 5 mm to 30 mm. The ribs (22) occurring between the grooves (21) are then knocked off by simple means, such as hammers, chisels or picks. In a second operation, by means of the same apparatus, further grooves (21) are milled transversely thereto, so that only rectangular elevations remain which can be knocked off with ease.

  • Patent number: 7451757
Abstract: An improved concrete cutter has a longitudinally-extending primary boom and one or more saw carriage sub-assemblies that move along the length of the boom. “Wing-like” boom extensions are hingedly secured at each end of the primary boom. The boom extensions can be easily positioned at each end of the primary boom to extend the cutting width of the concrete cutter and without requiring removal of the boom extensions from the concrete cutter. The saw carriage sub-assemblies are independently movable along the boom extensions. Carriage spacing is variably-adjustable along the boom such that each saw carriage can move toward or away from the other saw carriage. Each saw carriage sub-assembly is height-variable and is self-adjusting to contours in the profile of the concrete surface being cut.

The adjustment lever secures the bracket assembly to the saw such that the inner gear engages the outer gear. When the adjustment lever is loosened a bias spring biases the bracket assembly away from the saw such that the inner gear disengages from the outer gear to thereby allow rotation of the handle assembly to a desired operating position.

  • Patent number: 7073975
Abstract: An apparatus for cutting slots in pavement has a slot cutting assembly with several pairs of rotating blades mounted to a vehicle and vertically adjustable relative to the vehicle. A lift system moves the vehicle between a first position wherein the lift is not engaging the ground and a raised position wherein the lift engages the ground. A slider assembly uses a hydraulic to move the vehicle horizontally on rails relative to the lift when the vehicle is at the raised position. In operation, the vehicle is lifted and the cutting assembly lowered so the blades engage the pavement. The vehicle slides back and forth on the rails as the blades cut slot pairs. The material between each slot pair is removed to form a recess receiving reinforcement devices.
