Abstract: A one-piece construction chopsticks including symmetrical first and second portions connected to each other by a parallelepiped resilient member at a rear end thereof in a mirror image configuration. A hook on the second portion aligns and maintains positioning of the first and second portions and limits the size of an opening between a bottom side thereof. A pair of parallelelepiped rails perpendicularly disposed on a lower segment of the first portion guides and aligns the first and second portions. Interchangeable implements, such as a spoon, a fork, and a gripping tool, is attachable to the bottom side of each of the first and second portions. Thus, the present chopsticks secure a food particle between the gripping tools without the time and effort involved in developing the skills necessary to use conventional chopsticks, while also permitting the interchangeable use of an eating utensil, such as a spoon and a fork.

Abstract: A utensil has first and second arm members of substantially the same size and shape. Each arm member has a head section and a handle section. The head sections are concave or scoop-like in configuration and are connected by a rotatable hinge which permits rotation of the arm members in relation to each other. The head section of the first arm members has elongated openings through which spreadable food can be expelled. The head section of the second arm member is solid. With the first arm member nested within the second arm member, spreadable food is scooped onto the utensil, specifically on the top surface of the first arm member. Rotation of the second arm member around the first arm member such that the second arm member is now nested within the first arm member, causes the food to be expelled from the openings in the first arm member, where the food can be easily spread on bread and or food items.

Abstract: A method for making a utensil includes a first step of placing and stirring a mixture containing a melamine resin of 30-60%, a bamboo fiber powder of 30-60% and an adjuvant of 5% to form an evenly distributed first blank, a second step of cooling the first blank to form a second blank, a third step of pressing and molding the second blank to form a semi-product, and a fourth step of polishing the semi-product to form a final product of the utensil. Thus, all of the melamine resin, the bamboo fiber powder and the adjuvant are made of organic material so that the utensil can be decomposed naturally and will not pollute the environment when it is disposed of to achieve the environmental protection purpose.
