Abstract: A hair clipping device includes a cutting assembly having a stationary cutting blade and a moveable cutting blade, where the moveable cutting blade is arranged on a first side with respect to the stationary cutting blade. The hair clipping device further includes a driver configured to drive the moveable cutting blade relative to the stationary cutting blade, and a housing having an air outlet and an air inlet. A fan for generating a pressurized airflow is fluidly connected to the air outlet such that the pressurized airflow exits the housing at the air outlet and at least partly re-enters the housing at the air inlet. The air outlet and the air inlet are both arranged on the first side with respect to the stationary cutting blade.

Abstract: When the protruding length of a cutting blade 11 protruding below a lower surface of a base 2 of a portable machining device 1 is set to its maximum length, at least a part of a controller 31 for controlling an electric motor 12 is configured to be located behind a handle 14 in the front-to-rear direction. Furthermore, the controller 31 is disposed so as to be tilted in the left-to-right direction or in the up-to-down direction with respect to the cutting blade 11. Because of this configuration, the height of the handle 14 can be restricted and at the same time the controller 31 can be disposed in a compact manner.
Abstract: A pen structure with a glass smasher has the glass smasher mounted at the front end of a pen. When a user holds the pen and presses the front end (i.e., the smashing cone) of the smashing rod of the glass smasher forcibly against a glass obstacle, an impact block will strike the rear section of the smashing rod vigorously such that the smashing cone is instantly driven to smash the glass obstacle. A ballpoint/rollerball refill is detachably provided in the pen and is at least 6 cm long in order to contain enough ink. The overall length of the pen is at least 10 cm so that the pen can be easily held while the user writes or draws with the ballpoint/rollerball tip and while the user applies a force to a glass obstacle through the front end of the smashing rod to smash the glass obstacle.

The shape of the cutting tooth (101) with a blunted tooth tip (1011) with a cutting edge (1012) leads to improved cutting results, wherein the container covering is notched or nicked. Here, each cutting tooth (101) has a robust tooth tip (1011) without edges which cuts into the container covering as a result of rotation of a cap of the closure device, wherein the cutting device is moved along with it.
Abstract: The present invention relates to pruning shears, and is intended to cut off branches and stems of landscape trees, fruit trees, etc. while minimizing slips, etc. occurring during pruning when the branches or stems have large diameters or are stiff, to alleviate impacts applied to a hand of an operator particularly at the moment when thick branches or stems are cut off, and to be conveniently hung on a tree branch during work. Furthermore, the pruning shears have a rotating portable saw accommodation means configured to cut off a tree branch or stem outside the cutting range of the pruning shears.

Abstract: Provided are multifunctional folding knives for quick access to the blade and conveniently tool-securing accessory thereto. The knife comprises a blade and a handle pivotally connected to the blade. A cutout is disposed on a spine of the blade. Two or more holes are disposed in opposite relation around the cutout. A tool-securing accessory is removably secured on a spine of the blade. The tool-securing accessory comprises a base plate. A magnet is disposed in the base plate. A flange is disposed along a distal edge of an upper surface of the base plate and forming a concave opening. A semi-collar comprising a pair of arms is pivotally secured on the flange configured to switch between a locked position and an unlocked position. Abstract: A compact, ergonomic, lighted, retractable seam ripper is provided, having a housing, a retractable seam ripping blade, an LED, a battery, and a switch. The housing has generally planar exterior sidewalls and lower peripheral surface, a generally arcuate upper peripheral surface, a blade opening in the upper surface, and a longitudinally extending first and second rail generally parallel to the lower peripheral surface. The retractable seam ripping blade is mounted on a blade holder translatable along the first rail. A spring integral with the holder has a locking projection that engages locking depressions in the second rail. An actuating member between the spring and housing dislodges the locking projection from each of the locking depressions. The switch connects the LED to the battery when actuated.

Abstract: An illuminated eating utensil and container system includes a plurality of utensils. Each of the utensils includes a handle that is translucent. A head is attached to a first end of the handle. A light emitter is mounted at a juncture of the head and the handle and is directed towards a second end of the handle. The light emitter illuminates the handle when the light emitter is turned on. A battery is mounted in the head and is electrically coupled to the light emitter.
Abstract: A tenderizing knife for use in tenderizing meat, such as steak or poultry and the like. The knife includes an elongated cutting blade having a handle on a proximal end thereof. A first edge of the cutting blade is serrated, while the second edge of the cutting blade is blunt. The first edge comprises a square serration pattern, wherein the square shaped serrations are spaced at a fixed interval and help to allow the user to tenderize the meat rather than cut therethrough. The distal end of the cutting blade includes a smooth edge for use in cutting through the meat in the traditional fashion. In operation, the user can make a series of small cuts across the meat using the serrated edge in order to tenderize the meat prior to cooking.

Abstract: A multi-function charging adapter that include a movable forward nosepiece (or “plug”), a rearwardly open main power socket, a glass-breaking mechanism, and optionally an auxiliary charging port. Depression of the nosepiece causes the glass-breaking mechanism to automatically move from the cocked state to a released state. Related methods of use are also disclosed.
Abstract: A dining utensil includes a stimulating component, a sensing component, and a communication component to enhance a dining experience. The stimulating component includes one or more light sources, which may be different colors. The utensil has a processor with the computer program configured to activate the stimulating component to illuminate the eating portion of the utensil, which may display an image or video. The stimulating component may be optically coupled with a light guide to provide lighted bands, portions, and patterns. The sensing component senses a food condition, and may be configured to activate the stimulating component. The communication component provides wireless communication with a mobile phone and the internet.

Abstract: Provided are multifunctional tools functioning as a cigarette lighter socket adapter, safety hammer and cutter used in a car. The multifunctional tool comprises a body portion, a striking mechanism, means for adapting the electricity from the cigarette lighter socket, and blades disposed in a inner surface of the a hook-shaped structure. The tool can be used as an electricity adapter converting the electricity from the cigarette lighter socket into various outlet ports, such as USB ports or any other types of outlet ports or connectors for electronic devices. The striking mechanism enables the striking member in the tool to be shoot out with a high impact force, breaking objects such as a car window. The blade is used to cut objects such as a seat belt when the user is trapped in a car in an emergency.
Abstract: The present invention discloses a pair of retractable pliers, comprising a jaw body which comprises a first and a second jaw part that are articulated together via an articulated shaft, and a handle body which comprises a first and a second internal housing. The first and the second jaw part each have a pliers head and a connection part, and the connection parts of the first and the second jaw part are slidably connected to the first and the second internal housing respectively. The pair of retractable pliers also comprises a locking structure which is arranged on the connection parts of the first and the second jaw part and which is capable of fixing the connection parts of the first and the second jaw part together. Once the locking structure is open, the pliers heads can open automatically for convenience of use.
Abstract: Improvements in a multi-functional gun bolt cleaning and fire starting survival tool. The tool is specifically designed for owners and operators of semi-automatic and fully automatic firearms that utilize a rotating breech bolt (for example, the M-4 carbine, M16 and AR-15 type rifles). The tool has a steel tool designed to scrape carbon buildup off on critical surfaces so the firearm may function. The tool incorporates a flint rod for use with the steel tool, creating sparks for starting fires. The housing of the device keeps the other parts away from elements and acts as a handle for the flint rod when trying to start fires. The entire device is designed to fit within compartments found in common firearms accessories.

The removable knife draw assembly may be structured as a clip assembly and include a modified clip and other components which can be used in various combinations, including one or more of a clip draw tab, a body draw tab, a height adjuster, a tensioner, a tensioner pad, and a platform. The removable knife draw assembly provides structures that allow a user to engage and use the knife in an efficient manner. In this configuration, the removable clip assembly provides a removable clip to adjustably position the folding knife to a pocket, holster or other container, the removable clip having one or more of a clip draw tab to remove the knife from the container, a height adjuster to position the folding knife in the container and a tensioning mechanism to secure the folding knife in the container with the proper resistance.
Abstract: Embodiments include a sharpening fixture adapted to mount to the nose of a chainsaw guide bar. When mounted, the operator may direct a force towards the guide bar thereby causing a linear directed actuator to move a sharpening element into engagement with cutters of a saw chain to sharpen a cutting edge of the cutters. In various embodiments, the actuator is biased such that when the force is no longer applied, the actuator pulls the sharpening element out of engagement with the cutters.

A source of lubricating fluid is provided to a lubricating fluid distribution mechanism, coupled to both a knife blade and a salt bridge and an associated sacrificial anode. The sacrificial anode is consumed in order to protect corrosion on a rotating knife blade, which intermittently contacts both an associated anvil in order to cut material used in making disposable products, and the source of lubricating fluid. Abstract: Various aspects of automated grooming systems and cutting devices are disclosed. One embodiment of an automated grooming system comprises a computing device; a cutting device comprising a handle having a proximal and distal end and a cutting head positioned near the distal end of the handle; and a plurality of positioning sensors configured to send signals to the computing device relaying the position of the cutting head relative to a surface having hair extending therefrom. The computing device may be configured to receive the signals from the positioning device and prepare instructions for actuation of the cutting device. In some embodiments, the cutting device comprises a processor configured to receive the prepared instructions from the computing device and actuate the cutting device according to the prepared instructions.

Abstract: An air flow deflector which may be retrofit onto an existing hair or animal fur hand clipper. Deflector attaches to the clipper by various means to cover existing air flow channels or air vents on the clipper and directs the clipper motor cooling air away from the clipper. The deflector prevents hair and fur from being blown by such air vents in random directions during use of the clipper by redirecting the existing cooling air away from the clipper housing in a preferred direction. Retrofitting existing clippers is accomplished by attaching the deflector on the clipper over existing vents.

Abstract: A caulking gun may have a tip cutter mechanism that is supported to the body of the caulking gun and that has a blade with a cutting edge. When the dispensing tip of a caulk tube is properly positioned with respect to the body, the blade may be moved with respect to the body to contact the dispensing tip with the cutting edge and cut the dispensing tip of the caulk tube to adjust the amount of caulk material that is dispensed.

Abstract: A VATO comprises a blade, a handle, a stabilizing assembly, and a spherical weight. In a preferred embodiment, the spherical weight makes up a significant portion of the overall weight of the VATO. The spherical weight is positioned between the blade and the handle, and the stabilizing assembly is attached to a rear portion of the handle. When the VATO is thrown, a velocity vector is established in the direction of the trajectory of the VATO. The stabilizing assembly produces aerodynamic drag which assists in keeping the blade oriented in a forward position with respect to the trajectory of the VATO. The spherical weight is permitted to freely rotate thereby enabling the blade, the handle and the stabilizing assembly to independently rotate into alignment with the trajectory of the VATO such that the blade is in a forward position as the VATO strikes a target.

Abstract: The utility knife blade is a blade for a utility knife having a slot formed in the blade that is especially useful when scoring drywall. The slot may engage a tape measure adjacent the tape hook so that the cutting edge at the scoring tip of the blade extends below the tape measure hook to engage the sheet of drywall.
