    Abstract: A cable stripping tool for preparing a coaxial cable for insertion into a coaxial cable connector includes a receptacle, a cartridge, and a biasing member. The receptacle defines an opening for receiving an end of the coaxial cable, and the opening defines an axis along which an elongate of the coaxial cable extends into the receptacle. The cartridge is disposed in the receptacle and is slidable in a back-and-forth direction substantially orthogonal to the axis of the opening. The cartridge holds at least one cutting blade, which has a blade edge extending substantially orthogonal to the axis of the opening. The biasing member is configured to bias the cartridge toward a first stop surface of the receptacle disposed at an opposite side of the opening relative to the cartridge.

    Abstract: A nipper tool to remove a peripheral portion of the lip of a bivalve mollusk shell, and especially the shell of an oyster, to aid opening with a shucking knife provides a peripherally defined angulated handle structurally interconnecting a peripherally defined cylindrical nipping body. The nipping body defines an insertion notch in its lower forward portion distal from the handle to provide access to the nipping body chamber which slidably carries a nipper plunger with depending nipper blade to nip the lip of an oyster in the insertion notch. The nipper plunger is biased downwardly in the nipper body chamber by a compression spring and movable against this bias by a bell crank extending into the handle structure. A first manually operated species provides a pivotally movable lever adjacent the handle, with linkage to the bell crank to move the nipper plunger against its bias and release it to nip an oyster shell lip.

    Abstract: A pair of circular cutting dies each has a sharp peripheral cutting edge surrounding a cavity, and a connecting pin extends through center holes within the dies to support each die for rotation. One projecting end portion of the pin has a cross hole receiving a key ring, and the opposite projecting end portion receives a cross pin pivotally supporting a thumb actuated cam lever for forcing the dies and cutting edges together to a cutting position against the biass of spring washers confined between the dies within the opposing cavities. The lever is movable between a die open position and a die locked position for holding the dies in a closed position.

    Abstract: An improved tool particularly suited for removing nuts and the like from a stud or similar retaining member. The tool includes a split housing having channels therein extending along perpendicular axes, and at least one cam follower pivotally mounted within the housing. A shaft is slidably positioned in one channel for linear movement along an axis. The shaft is threaded at one end and extends through the housing and has a rotating member coupled thereto which bears against the exterior of the housing. On the opposite end of the shaft a camming surface engages one end of the cam follower to cause movement of the follower in response to movement of the shaft. A cutting element is slidably positioned within a channel in the housing for linear movement along an axis perpendicular to the axis of the shaft. The cutting element is coupled to engage the opposite end of the cam follower for movement in response to movement of the follower.

    Abstract: A device for severing a dielectric optical waveguide comprising knife means, means for clamping a dielectric optical waveguide in closely spaced relationship with said knife means and an anvil which is movable towards said knife means.
