  • Publication number: 20140292059
Abstract: There is a need to reduce raw materials used in the manufacturing of wet mops, to reduce the weight of the wet mop which will decrease user fatigue and related injuries and to address the difficulty of attaching standard wet mops to commonly used mop handles. The improvement is a tubular headband wet mop with yarn strands on only one side of the headband, reducing the amount of unused yarn incorporated into the wet mop while not reducing floor surface coverage area. The tubular headband also eliminates the possibility of exposing the bottom side of the mop handle which can damage or mar the floor surface, coatings and finishes. This reduction in raw materials results in a lighter product, which reduces effort required to lift and wring out the wet mop, and reduces fatigue and injuries associated with mopping.

  • Patent number: 8845033
Abstract: A process for the production of a segment brush a half finished product is first produced, having a bristle fill bent at 90° arranged in a ring like form with a radially outwards pointing angular offset supported on a ring shoulder of a transfer device, seated with the second angular offset on a central arbor, axially moveable in the ring and axially protruding. A holding ring holds the first angular offset axially against the ring shoulder and the second angular offset radially against the arbor. Pressing of the bristle fill is made on the transfer device in a press against the holding ring. A pressing arbor firstly spreads the second angular offset of the bristle fill with an attachment, ejects the center arbor and presses the angular offsets against the ring shoulder of the ring.

  • Patent number: 8840192
Abstract: In the production of toothbrushes, the neck part and the head part are bent relative to each other from the original shape thereof by a predetermined angle (?) in the hot state of the toothbrush body. Thereafter, the force applied to the toothbrush body by the stretching device in order to bend the toothbrush body is removed so that the toothbrush body can bend back into the original shape thereof. The risk of fractures, in particular brittle fractures, can be greatly reduced by said action. The method is advantageous, in particular, if the toothbrush body was heated during processing by ultrasonic welding.

  • Patent number: 8764119
Abstract: A paint brush (201) is provided. The brush comprises a bristle cluster (207) and a handle (202) for holding the cluster. The root end of the cluster is set into adhesive composition by a set depth X. The cluster comprises bristles of two or more different lengths. For a majority of the bristles the difference in length between a longest bristle and a shortest bristle is a range value Y. Y is less than X which means that one end of all bristles conforming to this rule must be embedded in adhesive composition but not all bristles will extend all the way to the tip end of the cluster. This ensures that bristles do not fall out of the handle while providing a tip end with reduced weight.

A resistant metal core is placed into a respective footprint of the lower half-mold in contact with at least two support platforms, adapted to support the core in the proximity of a central line of the mold cavity, and before the injection of structural plastic material, to couple the lower half-mold with an upper half-mold having at least one ribbing to contact with the metal core at least in a position between the support platforms and in a position opposite thereto.

One or more central carriers can be suspended via a flexible bridge between a pair of support carriers attached to the head frame. The bridge may be formed from an elastomer and permit the one or more central carriers to move from an initial position toward the head frame during use. The bridge may include rigid supports and flexible elastomeric supports. The carriers and the bridge can be formed as a unitary assembly attached to the head frame, such as via mechanical connections. The mechanical connections could include snap-fit connections.
