  • Patent number: 9312795
Abstract: An electric power tool includes a motor with a rotor having a permanent magnet; a control unit that sets a control amount of the motor in accordance with operation of an operation portion and that drive-controls the motor based on the control amount; and a number-of-rotations detection unit that detects the number of rotations of the motor. During driving of the motor, when the number of rotations detected by the number-of-rotations detection unit has reached an upper limit number of rotations set in advance, the control unit shifts drive control of the motor to rotation control, in which the control amount is made to be increased or decreased so that the number of rotations of the motor becomes a predetermined target number of rotations.

  • Patent number: 8063529
Abstract: A motor comprises a stator and a rotor (20) disposed within the stator. The stator comprises a shell comprising a plurality of sidewalls (10a-10d) and arcuate connection parts (11a-11d) connecting neighboring sidewalls. The cross section of the shell is a polygon with fillets. The stator also comprises a plurality of magnets (12a-12d) installed inside the arcuate connection parts. The magnets (12a-12d) are mutual arranged at intervals. The outer surface of each magnet (12a-12d) is attached to inner surfaces of the two neighboring sidewalls (10a-10b) and a gap is formed between the magnet and the inner surface of the corresponding arcuate connection part. Air gaps are formed between the inner surface of the magnets (12a-12d) and the outer surface of the rotor. Disposing the magnets inside the arcuate connection parts improves the space utilization ratio.

Abstract: This abstract section is written to explain this patent application. A magnetic motion has been found utilizing the sides and corners of permanent magnets. This motion has been taught at public schools by myself and the magnetic motion at certain angles continues to perform without fail. The intent of this inventor is to continue to develop and teach this magnetic motion and the set-up to achieve this motion. An engine/motor capable of picking up a load, while under a load is the final goal of this effort. This patent is for a magnetic motion, a magnetic motion demonstrator, and a teaching tool itself. Any future engines/motors using this method of magnetic motion will fall under this patent in the fundamental's area only not in the individual improvements of future patents. If allowed, an itemized list of non-patent-able fundamentals/techniques will be included.

  • Patent number: 6496002
Abstract: A rotation detector includes a rotor having a shaft. Projections are located at predetermined intervals on the periphery of the rotor and extend in an axial direction. Magnets are located between the projections and the shaft. The flux of each magnet is detected by a corresponding magnetism detection element. Each magnetism detection element has magnetic resistors. Movement of the projections changes the direction of flux of the magnets. Each resistor is switched between a first state, in which its magnetic resistance is great, and a second state, in which its magnetic resistance is small, in accordance with the change of the flux direction. The resistors are divided into two groups. The groups are substantially symmetrical relative to a centerline of the groups such that, when the direction of the flux changes, the resistors in one group are in the opposite state from the resistors in the other group. The centerline of changes in the direction of the flux matches the centerline of the resistor groups.
