Cooling Fin Patents (Class 310/216.056)
  • Patent number: 10348163
Abstract: A stator assembly is used to be assembled to form a stator core. The stator assembly includes a tooth and a yoke. One end of the tooth is connected to the yoke. The yoke has an inner side, an outer side, a first coupling side, and a second coupling side. The first coupling side further includes a first engaging structure, and the second coupling side further includes a second engaging structure. The second engaging structure corresponds the first engaging structure. The outer side has a groove. The groove has a side surface and a bottom surface. An angle is defined between the side surface and the bottom surface, and the angle is in a range from 135° to 165°.

  • Patent number: 8622722
Abstract: A fuel pump, for an internal combustion engine, has a housing accommodating a pump and a motor. The motor is arranged to drive the pump so as to pump fuel through the housing. The motor has a wound stator having a plurality of inwardly directed teeth about which a stator winding is wound, and a radially outer surface in contact with an inner surface of the housing. One or more pathways are formed between the inner surface of the housing and the outer surface of the stator, for the flow of fuel there through. Each pathway is formed by an axially extending recess formed in the outer surface of the stator and aligned with a selected tooth of the stator.

  • Patent number: 8492952
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide an electric machine module including an electric machine with a stator assembly. The stator assembly includes a plurality of stator laminations and the plurality of stator laminations include a plurality of different outer diameters. The plurality of stator laminations are positioned relative to one another to form radially-extending fins. At least one circumferential coolant channel is defined along the circumference of the stator assembly by the plurality of stator laminations at least partially between the radially-extending fins.

Abstract: A wind turbine of the horizontal axis, direct-drive type, comprises a hub provided with one or more blades, a generator with a centerline that is technically horizontal, the generator comprising an inner rotor which is driven by the hub and an outer stator, the stator comprising a front plate, a back plate and stacked, arcuate laminates. The front plate and the back plate are connected by tension rods so as to form a stator unit with the stacked, arcuate laminates being sandwiched between the back plate and the front-plate under compression, the arcuate laminates having protrusions over the circumference of the stator for dissipating heat to the atmosphere. The invention also relates to a direct-drive generator.

Abstract: The invention relates to a wind turbine of the horizontal axis, direct-drive type, wherein the wind turbine comprises a hub provided with one or more blades, a generator with a centerline that is technically horizontal, the generator comprising an inner rotor which is driven by the hub and an outer stator, the stator comprising a front plate, a back plate and stacked, arcuate laminates. The wind turbine according to the invention is characterized in that the front plate and the back plate are connected by tension rods so as to form a stator unit with the stacked, arcuate laminates being sandwiched between the back plate and the front-plate under compression, wherein of a first arcuate laminate in contact with a second arcuate laminate stacked against it the outer edge of the first arcuate laminate is at a larger distance from the centerline of the generator than the outer edge of the second arcuate laminate so as to increase the outer surface area of the stator for dissipating heat to the atmosphere.
