Having Threaded Fastener (e.g., Screw) Patents (Class 310/216.083)
  • Patent number: 10020717
Abstract: An electric machine includes a rotor, a first stator, and a second stator. The rotor includes a rotor core and a first and a second plurality of poles mounted to extend radially from the rotor core. The first stator and the second stator each include a stator core, a plurality of teeth mounted to extend from the stator core, and a plurality of permanent magnets mounted as first spokes within the plurality of teeth. The stators are mounted radially relative to a first side of the rotor and separated by a first air gap between the plurality of poles and the plurality of teeth. At least four windings are connected in series and wound about the plurality of teeth. A first flux linkage in a first pair of series connected windings is a mirror image of a second flux linkage in a second pair of series connected windings.

  • Patent number: 8847461
Abstract: A stator core includes three split cores, each of the split cores including a core-back portion including an inner surface facing a rotor, a tooth base portion protruding radially inwards from the inner surface of the core-back portion and a pair of tooth overhang portions protruding from both sides of a tip end of the tooth base portion in a circumferential direction. The inner surface of the core-back portion including a pair of orthogonal surface regions extending from both sides of a base end of the tooth base portion in a direction orthogonal or substantially orthogonal to the tooth base portion, the orthogonal surface regions extending radially outwards beyond projection positions of tip ends of the tooth overhang portions when the tooth overhang portions are projected on an imaginary plane including the orthogonal surface regions in parallel or substantially in parallel to the tooth base portion.

  • Patent number: 8058763
Abstract: A permanent magnet rotor arrangement that is particularly suitable for low-speed large-diameter electrical generators includes a rotor 2 having a radially outer rim 4. A circumferential array of magnet carriers 12 is non-releasably affixed to the outer rim 4 of the rotor and have a radially outer surface. An inverted U-shaped pole piece retainer 18 made of non-magnetic material such as stainless steel is affixed to each magnet carrier 12 and is formed with an axially extending channel. At least one pole piece 16 made of a magnetic material such as steel is located adjacent to the radially outer surface of each magnet carrier 12 and in the channel formed in its associated pole piece retainer 18.

  • Patent number: 7986071
Abstract: An exemplary slot closure arrangement has a sliding block and a pressure piece. At least one spring element is arranged in between them and can be prestressed by at least one attachment, which interacts with the sliding block and the pressure piece, thus creating a prefabricated assembly. Once the slot closure arrangement has been positioned in a slot, the attachment can be mechanically moved from a first position to a second position, which can be monitored, after positioning of the slot closure arrangement, for activation of the spring forces of the at least one spring element.

  • Patent number: 7723892
Abstract: A synchronous motor includes multiple coil segments, each of which has an iron core in the form of a core stack that is wound with a coil. The coil segments are characterized in that the coils press fastening elements having at least two legs against two opposite surfaces of the substantially right parallelepiped iron core. In each case, at least one leg of the fastening element abutting against the iron core is pressed against the iron core, and at least one free leg of the fastening element projects away from the iron core. The free legs are fastened to connecting elements that connect multiple coil segments to one another.
