Cup-shaped End Shield Connected To Another End Shield Patents (Class 310/406)
  • Patent number: 8836188
Abstract: A motor with an internal driver having a shell, having a stator, a rotor and a drive shaft attached to said rotor in an internal thereof; a front cover; a rear cover; ends of a drive shaft penetrating through holes of the front and rear covers to the external. The inner surface of the rear cover includes outer and inner circumferential walls and a receiving space defined by the outer and inner circumferential walls and the inner surface of the rear cover. A driver is provided within said receiving space and the outer surface of the rear cover is provided with a bearing slot to receive a bearing. An inner diameter of the inner circumferential wall is greater than the drive shaft. Said inner diameter of said inner circumferential wall is smaller than the annular diameter of the bearing in the bearing slot.

  • Patent number: 8278793
Abstract: An electric motor assembly is configured to be mounted within a machine in a selected one of multiple possible motor dispositions corresponding with different motor axis positions. The motor assembly includes an endshield having a pair of opposite generally radially-extending mounting flanges. Each mounting flange presents an engagement portion that includes a plurality of spaced apart, dissimilarly-shaped recesses that extend in a generally common direction. The pair of flanges cooperatively present corresponding sets of like-shaped recesses, each of which is associated with one of the motor dispositions, but only one of the sets of recesses extends entirely through the engagement portions to define a single set of like-shaped fastener-receiving through holes corresponding to the selected motor disposition. A method of manufacturing components for electric motor assemblies configured to be mounted within respective machines in a selected one of multiple possible dispositions is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 8192180
Abstract: A heat dissipating fan includes a housing having an air inlet and an air outlet between which an air passageway is formed. A fixed seat is provided in the air passageway and includes first positioning holes. A magnetically conductive first casing includes a first outer wall, a first annular lip extending radially outward from an end of the first outer wall and having second positioning holes aligned with the first positioning holes, and a first support on the other end of the first outer wall. A second casing includes a second outer wall, a second annular lip extending radially outward from an end of the second outer wall and having third positioning holes aligned with the first positioning holes, and a second support on the other end of the second outer wall. Fasteners extend through the first, second and third positioning holes. A motor is mounted in the first and second casings.

    Publication number: 20110175493
Abstract: A fan includes a bracket, a stator, a rotor, and a slanting portion. The bracket includes a tray, and a frame circling the tray. The stator is mounted to and circled by the frame. The rotor includes a shaft rotatably mounted to the stator, and a shell coupled to the shaft. The shell covers the stator, and the shell and the tray of the bracket cooperatively enclose the stator. An assembly clearance is formed between a bottom end of the shell and a top surface of the tray. The slanting portion circles the tray and extends down from the bottom end of the shell, slanting away and spaced from the tray.
