  • Patent number: 7834494
Abstract: An electromechanical actuator (EMA) is provided. The EMA includes a threaded output ram connectable to a mechanical component and at least one motor module engageable with the output ram for controllably translating the output ram along a linear axis of the output ram. The actuator further includes a torque sensing adaptive control (TSAC) system for monitoring torque within the motor module. The TSAC generates a disengagement command signal when the TSAC system determines torque within the motor module is outside an allowable motor module torque range. The disengagement command signal initiates disengagement of the motor module from the output ram.

Abstract: An auxiliary apparatus of wheeled luggage, capable of being pulled, includes an electricity-generating unit, a charging unit, a storage unit, a control unit, a driving unit, an actuating unit, a transmission unit and a sensing unit. When the luggage is being pulled, the wheel set of the luggage generates power to bring along the electricity-generating unit to generate electricity. The output electricity is in turn charging the storage unit via the charging unit. In the meantime, the signal sensed by the sensing unit is judged by the control unit. If it is needed to generate an auxiliary power source, then a control signal is output from the control unit to drive the driving unit, making the actuating unit bring along the transmission unit, which in turn brings along the wheel set by using the generated auxiliary electricity. Therefore, the user can pull the wheeled luggage to walk with an easy effort.

Abstract: A hand crank generator includes a crank, a gear transmission, and a generation motor driven by the gear transmission. The crank and the gear transmission are coupled to each other. A clutch gear is coupled between the crank and the gear transmission. The crank is manually driven to further drive the gear transmission, and the generation motor is driven to generate electric current through the clutch gear. When the cranking stops, the clutch gear disengages from a motor gear disposed on the generation motor. A weighted wheel continues to revolve under inertia for a while to drive the generation motor to keep on generating electric current, so that the purpose of saving manual efforts can be achieved.
