Abstract: A furniture drive for moving a furniture part is mounted in a vertically adjustable manner includes a drive apparatus, which has an electric motor, for moving the movable furniture part, and includes a compensation device which exerts a force which is opposite to the weight force on the movable furniture part. A measuring device is provided for detecting the weight of the movable furniture part. Therefore, the force exerted by the compensation device on the movable furniture part can be variably adjusted as a function of the measured weight of the movable furniture part by an adjusting device which has a further electric motor and can be actuated by the measuring device.

Abstract: A robust, motorized moveable shelf assembly having a shelf carriage, a stationary support structure, and a motorized drive assembly that can be retrofitted into an existing cabinet structure or be combined with a cabinet structure in which the shelf carriage can rotationally-move outside and either downward or upward of the stationary support structure and back again so that the shelf carriage is more readily accessible to a person of limited mobility. A linkage arm powered by a motor moves through an arcuate path to drive the shelf carriage from a first at rest position to a second extended position. In one embodiment, the shelf carriage has a bottom edge with a chamfered rear edge to provide clearance during movement. In another embodiment, the shelf carriage includes a moveable bottom flap, a rail, and a wheel attached to a lower portion of the shelf carriage where the wheel tracks the rail to eliminate the need for the chamfered rear edge.

The display rack is movable vertically relative to the toolbox and may assume a first tool accessible and tool visible position and a second position where the tools are not accessible and are not visible. A locking mechanism maintains the inaccessible tool position of the display rack. Preloaded struts operate to extend the display rack to its tool accessible and tool visible condition when the retaining force on the display rack is released. A retaining mechanism is used to hold the display rack in its elevated position.

Abstract: A cabinet having a deep shelf with limited access is described and includes at least two opposite sides carrying track means to permit easy adjustment of the shelf between two or more levels by a single person maneuvering only the one accessible end of the shelf. The cabinet can be mounted on wheels to form a cart. One or more such adjustable shelves can be provided. The shelves may be positioned just above the bottom of the cart to provide a maximum depth cart for use, in intermediate positions for use with smaller objects and/or at the very top and/or side of the cart and locked in position to provide a secured interior for the cabinet.

Abstract: In an automatic ticketing apparatus in which a customer-operated display screen (2) operated by a customer also serves as a maintenance display screen, the customer-operated display screen (2) is configured to be linearly movable while maintaining the direction of the display surface in the same direction, and by moving the customer-operated display screen, a maintenance space (15), through which the interior of the apparatus can be accessed, is opened. Furthermore, a lower operation unit (4) that is movable in a direction different from the movement direction of the customer-operated display screen (2) is provided, and the lower operation unit (4) is configured such that the maintenance space (15), through which the interior of the apparatus can be accessed, is enlarged by moving the lower operation unit (4). Accordingly, an operator can perform a maintenance operation easily while checking the display content of the customer-operated display screen.

Abstract: A worksurface storage system includes a frame, a tray, an actuator, and a cover. The tray and actuator are connected to the frame such that operation of the actuator translates the actuator and the tray relative to the frame. The cover is pivotably connected to the frame such that translation of the tray rotates the cover between an open and a closed position relative to the worksurface. The storage system is constructed to engage the worksurface such that devices supported by the tray are selectively extended and retracted relative to the worksurface. An opening formed in the worksurface accommodates passage of the devices and the cover, which is rotationally connected to the frame and which covers the opening formed in the worksurface when the devices are not in use. The storage system provides for multi-functional use of the worksurface.

Abstract: An adjustable housing frame with industrial rails includes a fixed plate, two movable plates and at least two positioning pieces. A front side of the fixed plate is provided with a rail. Both ends of the fixed plate are provided with two opposite rails respectively. The two opposite rails are provided with at least one positioning hole. One of the two movable plates is provided in the two rails at one end of the fixed plate, and the other movable plate is provided in the two rails at the other end of the fixed plate. Edges of the two movable plates are provided with a plurality of positioning troughs. The two positioning pieces pass through the two positioning holes and extend into the positioning troughs respectively. The two positioning pieces are stopped on inner walls of the positioning trough.

When the storage bin is raised, a top of the storage bin is adapted to be positioned proximate the countertop.

Abstract: A tool cabinet has a housing and a hanging device. The housing has a work surface, at least one drawer and at least one opening. The at least one drawer is defined in the housing. The hanging device has at least one hanger mounted inside the at least one opening. The at least one hanger has two telescopic stands, a hanging plate and a locking device. The telescopic stands are mounted in the at least one opening and face each other. The hanging plate is mounted between the telescopic stands and extends as the telescopic stands extend. The locking device mounted on the telescopic tubes to hold the inner tube in position. When the tool cabinet is used, the hanging device can be extended out to hang and store tools. The tools can be organized and the work surface will not in be cluttered.

The trolley structure can have a central portion and first and second wing portions with load bearing wheels for rolling along rigid bearing surfaces of the first and second rails. The bearing surfaces and the wheels can have correspondingly contoured profiles. The trolley structure can have a ventrally disposed alcove. Constant force springs can assist in a travel of the trolley structure in relation to the rail arrangement. The trolley structure or a support arm coupled thereto can have threaded mounting holes for retaining a flat panel monitor.

Abstract: A system for rising and storing a monitor to a desk includes a box located beneath a top of the desk and having a top hole. A link mechanism includes a transverse bar on which the base of the monitor is rested and two first links are pivotably connected to two ends of the transverse bar. The two first links are pivotably connected to two first ends of two plates which are pivotably connected to the box by two respective mediate portions. Two second links are connected to two second ends of the plates and a cover for closing a top hole of the box. Two springs are connected between the plates and two protrusions on the first links. The cover is moved vertically into the top hole of the box and then pivoted an angle when the monitor is moved through the top hole.

Abstract: A display stand is camouflaged as ordinary furniture, such as a dresser with mirror combination for the bedroom or as an armoire. The stand conceals another object, such as a television display, when one doesn't wish to observe that object, but otherwise exposes the object to view. Supported in a stationary position at least a vertically positionable opaque mirror or panel located directly in front of the television display when the television is not in use prevents the display from being viewed. The mirror or panel is supported by an electric elevator platform or lift inside the furniture, which, at the viewers option, is selectively vertically moved by the lift to a full up position that blocks a view of the stationary object or to a full down position inside the dresser that uncovers the object.

Abstract: An adjustable lectern includes a base portion having a tubular upstanding base member and a tubular upstanding tower member that is mounted in a telescoping arrangement with respect to the base member. The base member and the tower member are each respectively formed as rigid tubes or channels by a single, unitary piece of material such as sheet metal. The lectern further includes a work platform that is positioned at an upper end of the tower portion. The work platform is both vertically and horizontally adjustable with respect to the base portion, so that both users who will be standing behind the lectern making a presentation and users who will be sitting behind the adjustable lectern in a wheelchair when making a presentation may be accommodated. Both the work platform and the base member include industry-standard rackmount structure for facilitating integration of electronic components.

Abstract: A mechanism for raising and lowering an appliance, such as a video display, in an interior of a vehicle has a carriage supporting the appliance that slides or rolls vertically up and down in tracks of a guide frame between stowed and elevated positions. A force assist manual lift or an automated lift can be used to raise (and lower) the appliance. The force assist lift can have one or more pivotally and over center mounted gas springs to assist raising the appliance. The automated lift can have a motor driving one or more cables, wound through sheaves, to raise and lower the appliance. The entire assembly is preferably concealed in a furniture quality container until it is raised through a top opening for use.

Abstract: A slide bracket includes a main body having an end plate and at least one hanging block. The end plate is provided with a locating holder and a corresponding opening. The locating holder contains a chamber containing a spring. Abstract: A computer cart is formed to have ventilation channels extending along its sides to enable computers to be ventilated while stored in the computer cart without requiring excessive machining of the side panels forming the cart. The cart includes a frame with an external skin formed of panels. The upper edges of the side panels are offset from an edge of a top panel so that a ventilation channel is formed between the top panel and the side panels. Optionally, the channel may also extend between the top panel and a side panel and between the top panel and a front panel including doors that allow access to an inside of the computer cart. A similar channel may be formed on the bottom. As air is heated by computers within the computer cart, the warm air will rise and exit the computer cart via the upper ventilation channel, while drawing in cooler air through the lower ventilation channel.

More specifically, the present invention discloses and claims a cabinet system which allows the user to reach items stored in the highest shelves by bringing the shelf to the user, instead of making the user reach the shelf. The invention can be installed during the manufacturing process of new cabinets, so it can be incorporated in the cabinet system as it is being placed in a home. The invention can also be sold as a kit, which can be used to modify already installed cabinets. The present invention can be manufactured in a wide variety of dimensions, so it is capable of fitting new or already installed cabinets.

When disposed in a display case, the movable support moves between storage and display positions such that the movable barrier moves between a closed position to protect items in storage and an open position to display items on the movable support. The movable support surface and movable barrier are controlled by a control mechanism that may include limit switches to facilitate automatic control. The control mechanism may be responsive to various outside signals, and a plurality of display cases may be simultaneously controlled.

The first section includes two telescopingly connected elements and the second section includes two elements that are slidingly connected to the first section to slide in a horizontal plane. A soft furniture-engaging element is also included in the second section and one or more clips are provided to lock the sliding elements in a selected position.

The interlock between the retaining portion and the cavity of the support bar is weight bearing and serves to distribute the load of the folder along the length of the cavity of the support bar and the upper edge of the sheet. The support bars have notches therein for engagement with conventional suspension rails as well as at least one indentation for accommodating an index tab. A rotatable index tab, or clip tab, with a lower part that is complimentary in shape to the support bar and the attachable to the support bar is also provided.

Abstract: The present invention is a sub-cabinet readily insertable and removable from a larger decorative cabinet. The invention is comprised of a box-like structure having at least three panels perpendicularly disposed with respect to a floor panel and attached thereto, a lift vertically disposed within the box-like structure and fastened thereto, and a control module disposed within the box-like structure and fastened thereto. The control module receives commands from a limit switch so as to stop the lift motion when filly retracted or extended. Furthermore, the control module regulates electrical power to a display device fastened to the lift based upon the direction of travel of the support unit. The control module receives function commands from either a wireless remote or a switch. An alternate embodiment of the present invention further comprises a safety strip attached about an edge along one or more panels adjacent to a movable lid hinged to a decorative cabinet.

Prior to using a computer, the device is activated by starting a motor in a clockwise rotation to lift an LCD of the computer from under the desk by means of a mechanism comprising chain wheels, bars, and adjusting screws. A lowering of the device into the desk is performed by starting the motor in a counterclockwise rotation by means of the same mechanism. The invention can save desk space for other purposes in the storage position.

Abstract: A parallelepiped lifting device mounted under a computer desk in a storage position is disclosed. Prior to using a computer, the device is activated by starting a motor in a clockwise rotation to lift an LCD of the computer from under the desk by means of a mechanism comprising chain wheels, bars, and adjusting screws. A lowering of the device into the desk is performed by starting the motor in a counterclockwise rotation by means of the same mechanism. The invention can save desk space for other purposes in the storage position.

The internal box fitting within the external box and being movable from a first position where the external box covers at least some of the access to the interior opening of the internal box, and a second position, above the external box, where the external box does not inhibit access to the interior opening of the internal box.

Abstract: A mobile personal computer station having an upper table top 32 to which is attached a computer 14 being connected to a lower docking station 28 by multiple extendable legs 30. The purpose of the present invention 10 is to provide a computer control wheeled structure that can move about as the user 12 chooses. The upper tabletop 32 also has attached thereto a rotatable camera which can be mounted in a plurality of cable and accessory management apertures 40 which are spaced about the tabletop. The lower docking station 28 is provided with wheels 24, 26 and is electrically driven by drive wheels 26 which are controlled by a computer. The camera rotator mechanism is also computer controlled and comprises a transceiver integrated circuit 82, a motor 84, a worm gear 86, a drive transfer gear 88, a drive shaft 90 and a rotative coupling post 60 which attaches the camera rotating mechanism to the tabletop 32. A camera platform 92 and camera locking screw 94 are provided for attaching a camera thereto.
