With Transformer Connecting Amplifier To Coil Patents (Class 315/405)
  • Patent number: 9506951
Abstract: Digital signal acquisition system is triggered when an input waveform matches a known reference waveform. This is achieved by calculating a stream of error metric values defined as a sum of absolute values of differences between incoming and reference samples. An error metric is calculated using only byte operations, which is advantageous for hardware implementation. A waveform trigger is determined by a sample index corresponding to a minimum value of the error metric and corresponds to a best match between input and reference waveforms. A waveform trigger is used for synchronous averaging and estimating time domain noise voltage. A reference waveform updates in poor SNR conditions to provide robust estimates of time domain noise by reducing reference waveform jitter.

Abstract: A horizontal deflection circuit having a horizontal output transistor that receives an input horizontal driving signal and drives a horizontal deflection coil includes a current controlling unit to selectively perform an operation to decrease a base current applied to a base terminal of the horizontal output transistor, and a controlling unit to sense a frequency of the horizontal driving signal and to enable the operation of the current controlling unit when the sensed frequency of the horizontal driving signal is higher than a predetermined level. Accordingly, the horizontal deflection circuit can control the base current of the horizontal output transistor according to a frequency mode, thereby decreasing damage to the horizontal output transistor.

  • Patent number: 6091212
Abstract: Disclosed is a circuit for adjusting a horizontal center of a raster displayed on a monitor CRT, which includes a current generating circuit which can control an amount of a direct current flowing through a horizontal deflection yoke of the monitor based on a control voltage, a first voltage, and a second voltage. A control part generates the control voltage in response to a center adjustment signal. A voltage generating circuit generates the first and second voltages, respectively. The first voltage has a higher potential than that of a B.sup.+ voltage which is applied to the horizontal deflection yoke, and the second voltage has a lower potential than that of the B.sup.+ voltage. The current generating circuit either generates a first current flowing into the horizontal deflection yoke to increase the direct current or a second current flowing out therefrom to decrease the direct current, such that the horizontal center of the raster is controlled.

Abstract: A top/bottom pincushion correction amplifier has an inhibit terminal that is coupled to vertical deflection means for receiving an inhibit pulse that corresponds to a vertical retrace pulse in the yoke. A vertical amplifier feeds the yoke in series with the secondary winding of a pincushion transformer, the primary winding of which is supplied with a pincushion correction signal from the pincushion amplifier. • Patent number: 4385263
Abstract: A primary winding of a power transformer is coupled to a source of DC voltage. First and second controllable switches are coupled to the primary winding in a push-pull arrangement. A control circuit responsive to a deflection rate input signal that is synchronized with deflection circuit scanning applies a turn-off switching signal alternately to the two controllable switches during each deflection cycle. In response to the turnoff of each one of the two controllable switches, a turn-on switching signal is applied to the other switch to develop a deflection rate alternating polarity output voltage across an output winding of the power transformer. The output voltage is rectified and applied to a deflection generator to thereby energize the generator into developing scanning current in a deflection winding.

  • Patent number: 4216414
Abstract: Each orthogonal driver channel for the magnet deflection yoke of a conventional CRT includes a simple bifilar wound transformer which is connected so that the deflection current waveform passes therethrough. The transformer effectively minimizes the inherent parasitic capacitance between the two windings of the magnetic deflection yoke as it affects a high frequency input signal presented to the input terminal of the high gain operational amplifier. However, the impedance introduced within the feedback loop of the operational amplifier is minimal with respect to an input signal to either driver channel, and thus no significant distortion is presented to the current waveform driving each winding.

  • Patent number: 4041355
Abstract: A high voltage generating circuit for a television receiver which includes a horizontal oscillator and a switching circuit operating at the horizontal sweep frequency of the television receiver and being coupled to a flyback transformer which has an input resonant frequency in the vicinity of but higher than the horizontal oscillator frequency. The output of the flyback transformer is coupled to a rectifier circuit which in turn is coupled to the high voltage anode of the television receiver. The flyback transformer also has an input resonant circuit which includes a capacitor which is serially connected to the primary winding of the flyback transformer. This series resonant circuit is resonant at a frequency in the vicinity but less than the frequency of the horizontal oscillator with the result that improved voltage regulation is obtained while avoiding excess high voltage which otherwise would be caused by a shift in the output frequency of the horizontal oscillator.
