    Abstract: A controller capable of preventing response delay and generation of vibrations attributable thereto during position control of a movable part of a machine having low rigidity. A motor for driving a machine having low rigidity is subjected to position and velocity loop control. Compensation amount Q1 proportional to command velocity obtained by differentiating a position command and compensation amount Q2 proportional to second-order differentiated command acceleration are obtained. Compensation amounts Q1 and Q2 are added together, thus obtaining a velocity offset amount Vof corresponding to a estimated torsion amount. A differentiated value of the velocity offset amount is multiplied by coefficient ? to obtain a torque offset amount Tof. The velocity offset amount Vof is added to a velocity command Vcs obtained by position loop control 1. The torque offset amount Tof is added to a torque command Tc outputted in velocity loop control 2, and the result is used as a drive command to the motor.

    Abstract: A control system for synchronizing a combination press line comprised of a transfer press and a double-action press.The transfer press is set as a master press and the double-action press as a slave press following the transfer press in operation.The transfer and double-action press each has a synchro coupled to respective drive shafts for detecting an angular position of each press. A comparator is provided for comparing signals from both synchros and generating a signal corresponding to a difference between signals from both synchros. The output signal from the comparator is fed only to a motor for the double-action press for controlling the speed of the motor, thus enabling the double-action press to follow the transfer press in operation.

    Abstract: A box making machine includes a supply roll of a continuous web whose tension is monitored by a pivotally mounted oscillating rod which guides the web by means of a dancer roller provided at one end thereof. The web is carried through an imprinting machine which prints information on the web before it is passed through a die press which punches out portions of the web at predetermined locations on the latter. A cutter machine is provided which cuts the web into blanks suitable to be formed into boxes. The cutter machine includes a drive motor for actuating the cutter and for advancing the web from the supply roll. A box forming machine is provided for operating on the blanks and for forming the same into boxes. The box forming machine includes a drive motor for actuating the box forming machine.
