  • Patent number: 10580318
Abstract: A system including a first substrate implement with a first side, a first groove contrivance machined, molded or casted into the first side, and in which the first groove contrivance comprises a first predetermined pattern and a predetermined size. A first tracing tool includes a first end portion, in which said first end portion comprises a tip with a first predetermined diameter size and shape, wherein the first predetermined diameter size and shape is configured to correspond to the first predetermined size of the first groove contrivance. The tip of the first end portion is operable for tracing the first groove contrivance.

  • Patent number: 10345101
Abstract: A device calibrates a coordinate-measuring device. The device contains at least one calibrating element and the calibrating element has a plurality of surface sections. The surface sections that butt against each other form an edge. The device further contains at least one retaining device and the calibrating element is arranged on a surface section of the retaining device. The surface sections of the calibrating element are arranged in relation to each other in such a manner that the calibration element has at least one edge that does not overlap any other edge of the calibrating element when the edges are projected into a common projection plane. The projection plane is oriented orthogonally to a normal vector of the surface section of the retaining device.

  • Patent number: 10175035
Abstract: The invention relates to a coordinate-measuring machine for determining at least one spatial coordinate of a measurement point on a measuring object, comprising a base, a carrier comprising at least one carrier segment, a proximal end of the carrier being mounted pivotably about a base axis in the base, a measuring probe being arranged on a distal end of the carrier, and an angle measuring system for determining pivot angles of the at least one carrier segment, and/or rotation angles of the measuring probe, wherein at least one belt drive comprising a base pulley being arranged in the base, at least one follower pulley being arranged on at least one carrier segment, and at least one belt binding the rotatory behavior of said pulleys.

  • Patent number: 7603853
Abstract: A plurality of interchangeable straight and curved short cylindrical module segments are selectively and releasably joined together end-to-end manually and rotated relative to one another to form full-scale three-dimensional models of desired complex shapes of tubing, pipe, and conduit configurations. The segments are provided in sets having outside diameters corresponding to the outside diameters of conventional tubing, pipe or conduit and have a circumferential scale at each end to visually determine the relative rotation between one segment and an adjoined segment. When assembled, the model provides accurate shapes and dimensions to aid in designing, laying out, cutting, and fabricating tubular members, and for forming tubular configurations from pre-bent metal tubular sections and the proper relative rotation between them.

  • Patent number: 7124575
Abstract: An exhaust header modeling apparatus includes a plurality of interchangeable straight and curved short cylindrical segment members which are selectively and releasably joined together end-to-end manually and rotated relative to one another to form a full-scale three-dimensional model of a desired engine exhaust header design or configuration. The segments are provided in sets having outside diameters corresponding to the outside diameters of conventional exhaust header tubing and have a circumferential scale at each end to visually determine the relative rotation between one segment and an adjoined segment. When assembled, the model provides optimum header layout and pathways to accurately fit within an available space, and provides accurate dimensions to aid in cutting forming sections of the exhaust headers from pre-bent metal tubing sections and the proper relative rotation between them.
