Plural Contact Probes Patents (Class 33/501.09)
  • Patent number: 11365962
Abstract: A filtering device (20) includes an acquirer (21) and a filtering unit (22). The acquirer (21) acquires an input value that is repeatedly input. The filtering unit (22) obtains an output value by filtering for reduction of noise included in the input value. When a difference between the current input value and the past output value exceeds a first threshold, the filtering unit (22) obtains a new output value by weighting the current input value with a weight greater than a weight for obtaining the past output value.

  • Patent number: 9658085
Abstract: A measuring tool (1) for measuring dimensional characteristics (D) of a production part (2). The tool (1) comprises a unit (3a, 3b) for positioning the measuring tool (1) relative to the part (2) and at least one measuring apparatus (4a, 4b) mechanically linked to the positioning unit (3a, 3b) by a mechanical link (5). The positioning unit (3a, 3b) comprises a first centring device (6a) for coming into contact against an inner surface (7a) of a first bore (22a1) of the production part (2) and a second centring device (6b) for coming into contact against an inner surface (7b) of a second bore (22b1) of the production part (2), the first and second bores (22a1, 22b1) being coaxial. The mechanical link (5) allows the relative displacement of the measuring apparatus (4a, 4b) relative to the first and second centring devices (6a, 6b).

  • Patent number: 9651351
Abstract: A gap assessment tool includes a base and an edge probe. The base fits to an exterior exhaust element of a vehicle, and includes the first of a pair of defined measurement locations. The edge probe is supported by the base for movement to an extended position in which, with the base fitted to the exterior exhaust element, the edge probe contacts an edge of an exterior body panel of the vehicle spaced from the exterior exhaust element, and includes the second of the pair of defined measurement locations. With the base fitted to the exterior exhaust element, and with the edge probe moved to the extended position and contacting the edge of the exterior body panel, a measurement between the pair of defined measurement locations is indicative of a part of a gap between the exterior exhaust element and the edge of the exterior body panel.

  • Patent number: 9076521
Abstract: A thin-film memory may include a thin-film transistor-free address decoder in conjunction with thin-film memory elements to yield an all-thin-film memory. Such a thin-film memory excludes all single-crystal electronic devices and may be formed, for example, on a low-cost substrate, such as fiberglass, glass or ceramic. The memory may be configured for operation with an external memory controller.

  • Patent number: 7694428
Abstract: A measuring device for determining compliance of a lacrosse stick is disclosed. The measuring device will make it easier and quicker for a user to check the compliance. The device may make it possible for a user to check multiple dimensions of a lacrosse stick at one time. For example, such a measuring device may be adapted to measure a first width, a second width, and a length of the lacrosse stick head.

  • Patent number: 7159477
Abstract: An apparatus is provided for measuring deformation of a surface of a pipe. The apparatus has a central portion to which a detector section is mounted. At each side, guides are connected to the housing via arms. The housing has a platform below which an inverted U-shaped section is provided, with the platform forming the base of the U. At the rear of this section a wheel is rotatably mounted on an axle. Forward of this, and also within the U-shaped section is mounted a further U-shaped section. This is pivotally mounted at its rear end by means of a pin such that its forward end is free to move vertically. The forward end has mounted within it a further wheel on an axle. Projecting upwards from the second U-shaped section is a rod which passes through a hole in platform. Around the lower portion of the rod is provided a spring which biases the detector downwards and away from the platform. The rod moves vertically with the wheel as it passes over bumps in the pipe.

  • Patent number: 6315469
Abstract: A tool and a method for adjusting a space between a printhead in a print cartridge and a platen in an ink jet printer are disclosed. The shape of the tool mimics the shape of a print cartridge. The tool is inserted into an aperture in a carriage in place of the print cartridge whose printhead is the closest to the platen, or, if all of the printheads are equally close to the platen, then the tool may be inserted in place of any of the print cartridges. The tool includes a thin flexible member that extends toward the platen. The length of the member is such that, when the tool is properly inserted into the aperture and contacts the platen, then the printhead to platen spacing at that point on the platen would be just equal to a minimum acceptable spacing between a printhead in the same aperture and the platen.
