Abstract: The present invention is directed toward devices and methods for use in minimally invasive needlescopic procedures whereby an improved bowel grasper incorporates a means for measuring the pressure applied to a body part is translated to a visual representation. In addition, in an embodiment a rubberized bowel grasper device having a chevron style surface which is used to facilitate grabbing and manipulating body parts is provided. In another embodiment of the present invention and system a device and method for measuring distances inside the abdomen is provided. Further embodiments include bowel graspers with a combination of the above features and functions.

Abstract: A caliper is arranged for applying predetermined constant pressure to a joint or other anatomy under measurement. The caliper includes an elongate housing, a first jaw connected to the housing, a second jaw slidably connected to the housing, the first and second jaws spaced apart by a predetermined minimum distance, and a constant force spring engaging the first and second jaws. The constant force spring biases the first and second jaws toward one another. A method includes using the caliper to measure anatomical dimensions.
Abstract: A measurement apparatus for measuring alignment of screen printed images has a body with a top surface and a bottom surface and an opening extending between the top surface and the bottom surface, and a measuring device for measuring an offset between the screen printed images. The measuring device is positioned adjacent the opening at the bottom of the body. An adjusting mechanism is cooperative with the measuring device for selectively adjusting the measuring device. A gauge is positioned on the body and cooperative with the adjusting mechanism so as to provide a positive numerical indication of the offset between the screen printed images.
Abstract: A caliper has a main scale (1) having an inside-measuring jaw (2) and an outside-measuring jaw (3) and a slider (11) having an inside-measuring jaw (12) and an outside-measuring jaw (13) further includes a tube-shaped grip (30) provided on an end of the main scale (1) capable of movement in a longitudinal direction of the main scale (1), the grip (30) including a means for fixing the grip (30) relative to the main scale (1).

Abstract: The measuring apparatus consists of a stationary or mobile desk (8) having at least one aligning bar (9) for interaction with at least one of the measuring surfaces (2) of a measuring limb (3) of the sliding gage (7). At least one measuring surface (2) is outside the plane of the graduated straightedge (1), and at least one of the measuring limbs (3) has two limb parts (30) which project in two different directions from the graduated straightedge (1) parallel to the plane of the latter, and whose two measuring surfaces (2) are in a plane perpendicular to the graduated straightedge (1). Means for detachably fixing the aligning bar (9) and/or the object to be measured on the desk (8) may be provided. Preferably, both measuring limbs (3A, B) are displaceable on the graduated straightedge (1), and at least one of the two can be fixed.
