Reciprocating Selector Motion (e.g., Sliding) Patents (Class 335/115)
  • Patent number: 9378914
Abstract: A contact device includes a contact mechanism including a pair of fixed contacts disposed to maintain a predetermined distance and a movable contact disposed to be capable of contacting to and separating from the pair of fixed contacts. The movable contact has a conductive plate portion extending in a direction crossing a moving direction of the movable contact in a contact housing case. Each of the pair of fixed contacts includes an inner side conductor plate portion having one end and the other end portion extending toward the outside of the contact housing case in parallel to the conductive plate portion, and an outer side conductor plate portion connected to the other end portion of the inner side conductor plate portion and extending in a direction separating from the movable contact, to form an L-shaped conductor portion to generate a Lorentz force opposing an electromagnetic repulsion force.

  • Patent number: 7876184
Abstract: An electrical relay includes a magnetic system, a contact system and a slider. The magnetic system includes an armature. The contact system includes a moveable spring contact and a fixed spring contact. The moveable spring contact is moveable between an open position and a closed position. The moveable spring contact is in electrical contact with the fixed spring contact in the closed position. The slider connects the moveable spring contact to the armature. The slider transfers movement of the armature to the moveable spring contact. The slider has at least one contact opening element extending there from. The contact opening element strikes the moveable spring contact during movement of the moveable spring contact to the open position to break any existing weld between the moveable spring contact and the fixed spring contact.

  • Patent number: 5834996
Abstract: An electric switch (1) includes a switching device (4), movable between its ON position and OFF position, for switching a current circuit. The switch (1) is combined with a magnetic circuit (28, 29) for electromagnetic undervoltage tripping. In the event of undervoltage, the magnetic circuit (28, 29), as it opens, shifts the switching device (4) to its OFF position. The switching device (4) shifted to its OFF position closes the magnetic circuit (28, 29) again. A linearly movable fixing slide (24) couples the switching device (4) with the magnet armature (28) of the magnetic circuit and fixes the magnet armature (28) on the magnet core (29) in the OFF position of the switching device (4).
