Patent number: 10614983Abstract: This switching element for an electrical energy distribution board comprises a distribution bar and a support plate on which the distribution bar is fixed. The switching element comprises a coil, a contact movable under the action of the coil, said contact being mounted movably in a chamber. Said chamber comprises two parts intended to be mounted on the distribution board (P) in such a way that the movable contact acts on said bar, said chamber being furnished with means of fixing to the distribution bar or to the plate, the switching element being non-removably fixed by said chamber onto the distribution board (P).Type: GrantFiled: August 24, 2016Date of Patent: April 7, 2020Assignee: Zodiac Aero ElectricInventor: Olivier Deshayes

Patent number: 8736202Abstract: In a drive control circuit of a linear vibration motor, the drive signal generating unit generates a drive signal whose phase is opposite to that of the drive signal generated during the motor running, after the running of the linear vibration motor has terminated; this drive signal of opposite phase includes a high impedance period during which the driver unit is controlled to a high impedance state. An induced voltage detector detects an induced voltage occurring in the coil. A comparator has a function as a hysteresis comparator in which the output level does not vary in a predetermined dead band, and the comparator outputs a high-level signal or a low-level signal during the high impedance period. When an in-phase signal is consecutively outputted from the comparator during the consecutive high-impedance periods, the drive signal generating unit determines that the linear vibration motor has come to a stop.Type: GrantFiled: May 13, 2011Date of Patent: May 27, 2014Assignee: Semiconductor Components Industries, LLCInventor: Tsutomu Murata

Patent number: 8514037Abstract: A device and method for operating automotive battery system relays and related switches. By aligning a magnetic field with a direction of current flow in a contact plate disposed between magnets that are producing the field, a generated Lorentz force can be used to promote arc extinguishing during a relay opening sequence, while simultaneously reducing the tendency of the Lorentz forces to interfere with the operation of a solenoid or other switch-activating mechanisms. By using a rotary-based mechanism to establish contact between a contact plate and current-carrying terminals, the likelihood of inadvertent opening of the relay is reduced. Such devices and methods may be used in conjunction with hybrid-powered and electric-powered vehicles.Type: GrantFiled: May 23, 2011Date of Patent: August 20, 2013Assignee: GM Global Technology Operations LLCInventors: Chih-Cheng Hsu, Andrew J. Patent number: 5939689Abstract: The invention relates to a matrix switching device (1) having a plurality of contact devices positioned in selected crosspoints between rows and columns, with each contact device including at least one movable contact element (2a). The device further includes a plurality of row-related, reciprocatingly movable first rods (3), a plurality of column-related reciprocatingly movable second rods (4, 4'), a plurality of electrically insulating balls (2h, 2g) of which each is allotted a selected crosspoint and is movable in response to movement of one or both of the rods (3, 4). Two mutually adjacent balls (2g, 2h) are provided at each selected crosspoint. A first ball (2g) has a larger diameter than a second ball (2h), and the first ball is so dimensioned that when moving it causes the movable contact element (2a) to move in one direction, and the second ball (2h) is so dimensioned as to have no effect on the movable contact irrespective of said movement.Type: GrantFiled: January 28, 1998Date of Patent: August 17, 1999Assignee: Telefonaktiebolaget LM EricssonInventor: Sture Gosta Roos

Patent number: 4368443Abstract: On an insulating baseboard with a central opening there are located contacts. There are also auxiliary contacts intended for connecting local control circuits of the device. A rotational electromechanical drive is provided to rotate a contactor, and an electromagnetic drive is adapted to reciprocate said contactor for operating contacts. The electromagnet drive has an electromagnet for closing contacts and a plurality of electromagnets for opening contacts. The number of the electromagnets corresponds to the number of the contact fixing devices. The armature of each electromagnet is connected with one of the contact fixing devices.Type: GrantFiled: April 1, 1981Date of Patent: January 11, 1983Inventors: Vitaly I. Koshman, Vladimir F.
