About Axis Normal To Other Coil Axis Patents (Class 336/125)
  • Patent number: 7893808
Abstract: A conductor assembly of the type which, when conducting current, generates a magnetic field or in which, in the presence of a changing magnetic field, a voltage is induced. In one series of embodiments a plurality of coil rows comprise conductor in a helical wiring pattern formed about an axis. One of the coil rows is positioned a radial distance R from the axis. For each of the coil rows the helical pattern comprises conductor loops each exhibiting a tilt in the same direction with respect to a plane transverse to the axis, the assembly capable of generating an axial field component and a transverse field component.

  • Patent number: 7277025
Abstract: A data coupler for use in transmitting data between mechanical parts which have a common axis and which are in relatively close engagement. The parts are adjustable relative to the other along the common axis. The data coupler includes an elongate housing having a longitudinal axis extending parallel to the common axis of the parts and is slidable relative to the parts during adjustment of the parts. A data source A and a data receiver B are spaced apart lengthwise. An axially short solenoidal coil is provided at each of the data source A and the data receiver B.
