Patent number: 10817270Abstract: An example system and method facilitate automatically generating a software application (e.g., a micro app) to facilitate performing a task, such as collecting information. In one embodiment, the method includes recording plural incidents filed by customers seeking assistance; detecting the filing of a new incident by a customer; using an Artificial Intelligence algorithm to process the incident, based on the plural incidents, to automatically determine additional information, and to determine one or more User Interface (UI) features for facilitating retrieving the additional information from the customer; generating a description of a UI that incorporates the one or more UI features; producing a mechanism (e.g.Type: GrantFiled: December 7, 2018Date of Patent: October 27, 2020Assignee: Oracle International CorporationInventors: Christian Straub, Jeff Price, Walid Abu-Hadba

Patent number: 6745492Abstract: The process for manufacturing a preform from at least one thermoplastic resin in the form of granules (A) and in a substantially crystalline state, comprises following successive operations are carried out: drying the thermoplastic resin in the form of granules; melting the dried granules of resins; injecting the melted resin into a mould and removing the preform from the mould; The drying operation is carried out in at least two successive separate steps: in a first step (first hopper 5), the granules of resin substantially in a crystalline state are dried for a predetermined duration (t1) at a predetermined drying temperature (T1); in a second step (second hopper 5′), the drying of the granules from the first step is continued at a drying temperature (T2) that is markedly higher than the drying temperature (T1) of the first stage, and for a duration (t2) that is markedly shorter than the period (t1) of the first step.Type: GrantFiled: August 30, 2001Date of Patent: June 8, 2004Assignee: Schmalbach-Lubeca AGInventor: Frank Haesendonckx

Patent number: 5588223Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for restrained paper drying in order to produce high performance paper with enhanced stiffness and, in the process, substantially improve paper properties and reduce fiber usage. The paper web is held in a restrained position on a fabric by air suction imposed from beneath the web and is of sufficient application to prevent shrinkage of the web. The web is simultaneously dried by high velocity, high temperature air or superheated steam. For improved finish properties, the wet paper web may be pressed onto a polished heated metal cylinder with restraint being imposed by gluing.Type: GrantFiled: June 14, 1994Date of Patent: December 31, 1996Assignee: Asea Brown Boveri Inc.Inventor: Hugh G. Patent number: 5465504Abstract: A paper web in a paper machine including a yankee dryer is dried and the moisture profile thereof controlled by arraying a plurality of gas burners in a cross-machine direction within the hood of the yankee dryer to direct heat toward different incremental width portions of the paper web. The burners are independently controlled by a scanning moisture gauge.Type: GrantFiled: April 8, 1994Date of Patent: November 14, 1995Assignee: James River Paper Company, Inc.Inventor: John R. Joiner

Patent number: 4494318Abstract: In accordance with the invention an apparatus and method are provided for curing resin-coated particles on a heated rotating surface. A single layer coating of uncured resin-coated particles is fed to the heated rotating surface. As the surface continues to rotate the uncured resin-coated particles become tacky and adhere to the rotating surface. The tack adhesion prevents the pull of gravity from separating the particles from the surface as rotation continues. Proper curing of the particles occurs on the heated rotating surface before one complete revolution is made by the surface. Cured particles are removed by a stationary scraper blade edge which rides the rotating surface and wedges between the adhering particles and the surface as the surface rotates past the edge.Type: GrantFiled: May 31, 1983Date of Patent: January 22, 1985Assignee: Aurora Industries, Inc.Inventor: John G. Patent number: 4271600Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for drying under vacuum flat articles of porous material which apparatus comprises a support surface for supporting at least one article to be dried, a heating means disposed on the side of the support surface opposite to the side supporting the flat articles, at least one cover means serving to enclose at least one article to be dried, which is spread on the corresponding portion of the support surface, in a hermetically-sealed space, and means enabling the connection of the hermetically-sealed space to a vacuum creating device. The cover means employed comprises a flexible but non-extensible, fluid tight diaphragm which is provided on the side facing the support surface with a cushion layer of porous material and on its periphery with a fluid-tight seal for coaction with the support surface to provide the hermetically-sealed space.Type: GrantFiled: August 28, 1978Date of Patent: June 9, 1981Assignee: Patpan Inc.Inventor: Jean-Pierre Dubourg
