Rotary Wheellike Conveyor Patents (Class 34/616)
  • Patent number: 8756830
Abstract: A media drying system removes a moistening liquid from a moistened medium, the moistening liquid having a moistening-liquid boiling point. A liquid reservoir contains a heating liquid. A liquid-heating system warms the heating liquid in the liquid reservoir to a temperature greater than the moistening-liquid boiling point. A media-transport system transports the moistened medium along a transport path which passes through the liquid reservoir. The moistened medium is submerged in the warmed heating liquid and heat is transferred from the warmed heating liquid to the moistening liquid. This vaporizes the moistening liquid and removing it from the moistened medium.

Abstract: A substrate processing apparatus includes a chamber, and a cleaning-liquid supply unit that supplies a cleaning liquid containing hydrofluoro ether onto a substrate to be processed placed in the chamber. In the chamber, there is further disposed a gas supply unit that supplies into the chamber a gas for preventing moisture from being adhered to a substrate to be processed, when a cleaning liquid containing hydrofluoro ether is supplied onto the substrate to be processed.

  • Patent number: 7370437
Abstract: A sheet handling device for a printer or copier which includes a print surface for supporting a first surface of a sheet, a feed plate having an edge adjacent to the print surface, and a feed mechanism for feeding the sheet to the print surface through a gap between the edge of the feed plate and the print surface, wherein the edge of the feed plate has notches arranged such that at the edge, the notches provide space for the sheet at a second surface of the sheet.

  • Patent number: 6684527
Abstract: A wheel includes a peripheral outer wall onto which are sequentially loaded veneer panels. The panels are held in place by cable runs against a heated outer surface of the wheel outer wall. Drying of the veneer panels occurs during wheel rotation. A heated fluid medium such as hot oil flows through an annular chamber of the wheel. A series of inlet conduits supply the annular chamber with the heated medium while return conduits return same to a heat source. Multiple tensioned runs of cable confine each panel in place during wheel rotation. A modified form utilizes a continuous screen for panel retention. A drive system imparts rotation to the wheel by powered components in contact with the wheel periphery. A panel pre-heater and jet dryers are supplemental heat sources.

  • Patent number: 6314660
Abstract: A system and method for fabricating flexible circuits. The inventive system includes an oven and three or more independent tensioners for moving a strip of flex tape therethrough. In total, N tensioners are provided per side. The tensioners provide a cumulative tension force T on the tape and each tensioner applies T/N of the total tension. The tension is applied tangentially in a single plane of the tape along a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis thereof In the illustrative embodiment, the tensioners are sprocket wheels. Eight sprocket wheels are disposed on a supply side of the system and eight wheels are disposed on a take-up side of the system. The sprocket wheels are adapted to engage sprocket holes in the tape. The tape has a sprocket wheel area and a die area. A silicon die is typically bonded to the die area with a suitable epoxy. Copper conductors on the tape communicate electrical signals from a printer or other mechanism to the silicon die.
