Remote Control Patents (Class 340/426.13)
  • Patent number: 7356141
Abstract: A encoding/decoding method and device for a remote controller utilizing a baud rate to encrypt data for transmission. The encoding device includes an encoder encoding an identification code into an encrypted code; and an interpreter interpreting the un-encoded portion of the identification code and the encrypted code into a transmission signal. When the encrypted code is in a first base, the plain code corresponding to the encrypted code will be transmitted with a first baud rate; and when the encrypted code is in a second base, the plain code corresponding to the encrypted code will be transmitted with a second baud rate. The decoding device includes a receiver receiving the transmission signal; a interpreter connected to the receiver interpreting the transmission signal into a received signal; an encoder utilizing the same encoding algorithm as in the transmitter to generate a comparison code; and a processor comparing the received signal and the comparison code.

  • Patent number: 7327231
Abstract: The disclosed device is an additional, normally-closed relay positioned in line with the ignition switch and the functionality controlled by the OEM, normally-open relay. When the aftermarket system is in the disarmed state, the normally-closed relay is dormant in its closed position, thereby allowing the circuit to complete its intended loop. When the aftermarket security system is enabled, the normally-closed relay will open the current flow and prevent the current from reaching its target, thereby disrupting or disabling the operation of the vehicle function. If the normally-closed relay fails, it fails in its closed position, thereby not affecting the OEM system.

  • Patent number: 7327224
Abstract: This invention relates to a vehicle security system. The invention provides a vehicle security system which can be armed and disarmed via a remote control device, e.g. an RF device. The system includes also sensing means which can sense a predetermined event indicative of the presence of a person at the vehicle, such as knocking on the vehicle. For disarming the system, it requires a disarm signal from a compatible remote control device as well as the predetermined event to occur within a predetermined short time period. Where a number of such systems are installed on a number of vehicles on the same lot, e.g. a dealership showroom, and are armed, one of them may be selectively disarmed via a remote control device common to all of the systems. Only the system which senses the predetermined event in addition to a disarm signal will be disarmed.

Abstract: First through third light reception elements 111–113 receive infrared data D from an operation input transmission section 2, and output the received data to an operation input permission determination section 12a. The operation input permission determination section 12a distinguishes among the first through third infrared light reception elements 111–113, thereby determining in which space an operation input has been performed, and analyzes the description of the operation input, thereby determining whether to accept the operation input. A calculation processing section 13a performs various processes based on the description of the operation input from the operation input permission determination section 12a, a processing result of a position detection section 17, and map data stored in a map data storage section 16. A drawing processing section 14a performs a process of outputting a processing result of the calculation processing section 13a to first and second displays 3 and 4.

  • Patent number: 7102498
Abstract: A remote signaling receiver system includes a receiver that operates in two different modes of demodulation to accommodate different types of signals from different types of transmitting devices. A first demodulator, preferably an ASK demodulator, is adapted to process signals from a signal transmitter that generates a first type of signal. A second demodulator, preferably one that is not sensitive to amplitude modulation such as a FSK demodulator, is adapted to process signals received from at least one other type of device, which provides a second type of signal. A system designed according to this invention is particularly useful as a remote keyless entry system for a vehicle where one or more sensors are provided on the vehicle to provide an indication of a chosen condition of one or more of the vehicle components.

  • Patent number: 7069119
Abstract: A request signal transmitted from LF antennas of a vehicle-mounted unit is received by a radio terminal through an LF antenna. In response to the request signal, the radio terminal transmits a response signal from an antenna. The response signal is received by an RF unit of the vehicle-mounted unit. The vehicular remote control device controls an operating state of a vehicle-mounted device depending on the judgment of a match between the response signal and identification information inherent in the vehicle. The radio terminal has a light-emitting diode. When the radio terminal receives a failure diagnosis signal that is transmitted instead of the request signal, the radio terminal does not transmit a response signal, but energizes the light-emitting diode.
