Alarm System Supervision Patents (Class 340/506)
  • Patent number: 11138866
Abstract: A building management system tracks occupants of a building in which the building management system is installed and presents information about the occupants, including location information, to first responders during emergency and/or training events. Distributed devices of the building management system receive identification information broadcast by user devices of the occupants and sends the identification information to a control panel of the building management system. Location information for the occupants is generated based on the identification information received from the user devices and stored along with time and date information. This location information is then retrieved and presented to first responders, for example, by displaying a map of the building with icons representing the distributed devices and occupants, based on the location information.

Abstract: Predictor variables that affect production or consumption of a resource are sampled at a plurality of times within a time period and aggregated to generate an aggregated value for each predictor variable over the time period. A model is generated which estimates the production or consumption in terms of the predictor variables. A regression process is performed to generate values for a plurality of regression coefficients in the model based on a cumulative production or consumption of the resource for the time period and the aggregated values. The sampled values of the predictor variables are then applied as inputs to the model to estimate productions or consumptions of the resource at each of the plurality of times. The estimated productions or consumptions may be used as inputs to a controller that operates equipment.

  • Patent number: 11087611
Abstract: A computer assisted facility monitoring method provides users with predefined operating procedures that are recommended for addressing one or more alarms acknowledged by the user. The predefined operating procedures are created and stored prior to the occurrence of the alarms. In some examples, after acknowledging an alarm occurrence, the user may be provided with an option for bypassing or disregarding the alarm, as some such acknowledgements may have been for false alarms. In some examples, the predefined operating procedure may specify multiple action steps for addressing an alarm. In such examples, the user can close out or settle an alarm incident even without completing all of the action steps, provided the user enters a valid reason for doing so. In some examples, a user can batch-select a group of alarms, wherein perhaps only some of the acknowledged alarms in the group have corresponding predefined operating procedures.

Abstract: A method of facilitating an operating terminal to control media information displayed on target terminals using a computer server is disclosed. Upon receipt of a search request for target terminals within a local area network from an operating terminal, the computer server identifies a list of online terminals as the target terminals and returns the target terminals to the operating terminal. A user of the operating terminal then generates an operation instruction for controlling media information displayed on the target terminals. In response to the operation instruction, the computer server sends the operation instruction to respective applications running on the target terminals. The respective applications are configured to control the media information displayed on the target terminals in accordance with the operation instruction.
