Abstract: A process for adjusting an amount of video analytics data reported by video capturing devices deployed in a given location. In operation, an electronic computing device detects occurrence of an incident at an incident location based on processing video data or sensor data that are captured corresponding to the incident location. When it is determined that a video capturing device that is deployed within a predetermined distance from the incident location is currently configured with a second video analytics data reporting threshold that is greater than the first video analytics data reporting threshold, the electronic computing device transmits an instruction to the video capturing device to lower the second video analytics data reporting threshold to the first video analytics data reporting threshold and further report video analytics data corresponding to a video stream captured by the video capturing device as a function of the first video analytics data reporting threshold.

Abstract: A valve positioner for use on a process control valve or “valve assembly.” The process control valve may include a pneumatic actuator and a valve having a closure member coupled with the pneumatic actuator and moveable relative to a seat. The valve positioner may couple to the pneumatic actuator to provide a pneumatic signal to set a position of the closure member relative to the seat. An accelerometer may couple with the valve positioner. The accelerometer may generate data in response to orientation of the valve positioner. In one implementation, the configurations can use this data to ensure proper visualization of data on a display. The data also permits the device to properly manage operating modes, like tight shut-off or fully-opened mode, that may prevail due to orientation issues that cause defects in a measured position for a closure member that regulates flow of material through the valve assembly.

Abstract: Computational methods and systems described herein manage alerts generated by event sources that run in a distributed computing system. Methods and system provide a graphical user interface that enables a user to define a dominant alert and select subsumed alerts generated by the event sources. Methods and systems may also compute a relative fraction that represents a number of times each alert is triggered with respect to a number of times another alert is triggered for each pair of alerts. The relative fractions may be displayed in the graphical user interface to allow a user to select dominant and subsumed alerts based on the relative fractions. Methods and systems identify log messages that correspond to user-identified subsumed alerts, suppress subsumed alerts and generate the dominant alert. Abstract: A patient monitor can diagnose whether its speaker is blocked, malfunctioning, or at a volume that is too low. For example, the monitor can include a processor that can diagnose the speaker by recording a microphone input signal. The processor can compare the microphone input signal to an expected alarm signal that should be output by the speaker. If the two do not match or reasonably correspond to one another, then the processor may increase the volume of the alarm to determine whether doing so can overcome an obstruction, noise, or potential malfunction. The microphone can again detect the speaker output, and the processor can again make another comparison or analysis of the input with the speaker output. If the speaker output as detected via the microphone is still insufficiently loud, then the patient monitor may output an indication that the speaker has a problem.

Each ID node generates and broadcasts sensor data on environmental conditions proximate the respective ID node within the shipping container. The command node detects the sensor data from each ID node and compares it with locally maintained context data (an environmental threshold condition) for that ID node to detect the environmental anomaly when sensor data exceeds a respective threshold condition. The command node then generates a layered alert notification related to the environmental anomaly identifying a targeted mediation recipient and targeted mediation action, and establishing a mediation response priority.

Abstract: Methods applicable in metrology modules and tools are provided, which enable adjusting metrology measurement parameters with respect to process variation, without re-initiating metrology recipe setup. Methods comprise, during an initial metrology recipe setup, recording a metrology process window and deriving baseline information therefrom, and during operation, quantifying the process variation with respect to the baseline information, and adjusting the metrology measurement parameters within the metrology process window with respect to the quantified process variation. The quick adjustment of metrology parameters avoids metrology-related process delays and releases prior art bottlenecks related thereto. Models of effects of various process variation factors on the metrology measurements may be used to enhance the derivation of required metrology tuning and enable their application with minimal delays to the production process.

Abstract: An example method can include choosing a pattern or patterns of network traffic. This pattern can be representative of a certain type of traffic such as an attack. The pattern can be associated with various components of a network and can describe expected behavior of these various components. A system performing this method can then choose a nodes or nodes to generate traffic according to the pattern and send an instruction accordingly. After this synthetic traffic is generated, the system can compare the behavior of the components with the expected behavior. An alert can then be created to notify an administrator or otherwise remedy any problems.

  • Patent number: 10665070
Abstract: Systems and techniques are provided for identifying patterns activity at a facility that seem to precede alarm events. In some implementations, a monitoring system is configured to monitor a property and includes a sensor configured to generate sensor data. A monitor control unit is configured to receive the sensor data and based on the sensor data, determine an alarm status of the monitoring system. A monitoring application server is configured to receive the sensor data and data indicating the alarm status of the monitoring system. The server applies the sensor data to a model that determines an estimated alarm status of the monitoring system and determines the estimated alarm status of the monitoring system is different from the alarm status. Based on determining that the estimated alarm status of the monitoring system is different from the alarm status of the monitoring system, the server overrides the alarm status.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for maintaining an aircraft. Real-time event information indicating faults in systems on the aircraft and aircraft condition monitoring system data indicating conditions of the systems on the aircraft are stored during a plurality of legs of flights of the aircraft. A feature table comprising the real-time event information and the aircraft condition monitoring system data is built. Feature vectors are extracted from the feature table. A machine learning algorithm is applied to the extracted feature vectors to generate a predicted maintenance event message that identifies a predicted maintenance event. The predicted maintenance event message is used to perform a maintenance operation on the aircraft.

A receiving device periodically measures the total bandwidth of the video signals received from the multiple cameras, and when the total bandwidth exceeds a first threshold value the receiving device switches the encoding scheme used by the cameras to a scheme having a lower average bit rate. In addition, when the total bandwidth falls below a second threshold value that is equal to or less than the first threshold value, the receiving device switches the encoding scheme used by the cameras to a scheme having a higher average bit rate.
