The fact that the device is clipped or otherwise held between the person's clothing and body facilitates initiation of the alarm process if the person's clothing, and in particular the garment to which the device is coupled, is removed from the person, as may happen in an attack on the person by another.

The resistive value of the sensor is combined with an electronic identification code to create the unique seal identification for the tamper detection sensor, therefore giving the bolt a seal identification that is unique and that cannot be restored or duplicated.
