  • Patent number: 11887142
Abstract: A computer device and method for processing risk related data to affect changes to an insurance policy whereby one or more terms of an insurance policy associated with an insured and informatic data from a plurality of sensor devices are received by a computer processor. Analysis is performed on the received informatic data to determine a risk assessment value regarding the insured and/or other risks relevant to the insurance policy, such as a dwelling. Predefined business rules are then applied using at least the determined risk assessment value to determine if conditions have been met to allow or require modification of the insurance policy whereafter modification of one or more terms of the insurance policy is performed if the insurance policy associated with the insured permits modification.

Abstract: A method of controlling an infant care device includes identifying, via a location tracking system, a device location of the infant care device within a care facility by locating a device location tag on the infant care device, and also identifying any local clinician tags worn by a clinician within a predetermined area around the device location. The local clinician tags are compared to a list of authorized clinician tags to identify whether at least one local authorized clinician tag is within the predetermined area around the infant care device. User input is received at a user interface associated with the infant care device to modify operation of the infant care device. Operation of the infant care device is modified based on the user input only if at least one local authorized clinician tag is within the predetermined area around the infant care device at the time of receiving the user input.

Abstract: Methods and systems for assigning damage to a property to causes of loss are provided. A smart home controller and/or an insurance provider remote processor (or server) may generate a time sequence of events for damage associated with an insure-related event. The time-sequence of events may be analyzed to identify causes of loss associated with damage to the property. The smart home controller or insurance provider remote processor may further analyze the time-sequence of event to determine a portion of the overall damage associated with each cause of loss. Subsequently, according to certain aspects, the smart home controller or insurance provider remote processor may automatically generate a prepopulated insurance claim for damage associated with the insurance-related event, and/or transmit the automatically prepared insurance claim to an insured for their review, approval, and/or modification, such as via wireless communication to a mobile device associated with the insured.

  • Patent number: 11824358
Abstract: A transformer economizer automatically disconnects a main electric power transformer from a grid power line during low-load periods, and automatically reconnects the main transformer to the grid power line during high-load periods, to reduce low-power electricity losses incurred by the main transformer. The main transformer is therefore deenergized and a much smaller auxiliary transformer is energized during low-load periods to reduce the low-power electricity losses incurred by the main transformer. The main transformer is then automatically switched back into service during high-load periods, while the auxiliary transformer is switched out of service. This provides long-term energy, cost, and carbon footprint savings by automatically switching the large transformer's loads to a much smaller auxiliary transformer, and therefore proportionally lower losses, during light-load conditions.

  • Patent number: 11803335
Abstract: The present disclosure describes systems and methods for storing incoming data and providing access to that data to multiple machine learned models in a data type-agnostic and programming language-agnostic manner. Operationally, a computing device may receive in coming data (e.g., from sensors, etc.). The computing device may store the incoming data in memory blocks, and index the memory blocks with a unique index (e.g., tag). The index may correspond to a determined tier for the memory blocks, and may enable the system to both locate the data once stored and enable the system to read (or use) the data upon receiving, for example, a data access request. In this way, systems and methods described herein provide for a robust data access and transfer mechanism that allows data to be stored a single time, but accessed by one or more different applications, machine learned models, and the like, simultaneously.

Abstract: Techniques for ordering the output of notification summaries are described. A system may receive multiple notifications intended for a same user or group of users. In response to receiving a user input requesting output of notifications (or in response to multiple notifications expiring soon), the system may identify multiple notifications intended for the user or group of users. The system generates natural language summaries of the notifications, and orders the natural language summaries based on one or more default ordering rules, one or more user preferences, one or more notification provider preference, and/or user feedback. The system then outputs the ordered natural language summaries to the user.

Abstract: Embodiments include radio transmitters, receivers and methods of operation for enhanced bandwidth utilisation. The transmitter hashes received data blocks to produce indices associated with the received data blocks. The data blocks and associated indices are stored in memory and transmitted. If the received data blocks have previously been stored, the indices are transmitted instead of the data blocks. The receiver stores the received data blocks and associated indices in memory, and outputs the received data blocks. When the receiver receives indices instead of data blocks, it accesses the memory to look up and retrieve the associated data blocks, and outputs the retrieved data blocks.
