Abstract: A portable camera may be activated in response to the activity of a firearm. Furthermore, an individual who discharged a firearm may be identified. Furthermore, information related to the firing of a firearm may be recorded, assessed, identified and transmitted. Furthermore, the status of an implement at a mount may be monitored. Furthermore, a charging device for delivering electrical power to components of a firearm may be used. A communications channel may be established between a firearm telematics sensor and a video camera, optionally by means of intermediary devices. A communications channel may be established between a mount (e.g., holster) telematics device and local and/or remote monitoring service components, optionally by means of intermediary devices. When the telematics sensor detects that its associated firearm has been removed from a holster, is in motion, or is being discharged, the telematics sensor may signal the video camera to initiate recording.

  • Patent number: 10867357
Abstract: An apparatus for tracking the time spent an different tasks on behalf of different entities comprises a plurality of tokens, each having an RFID coded with information uniquely associated with one of the tasks or one of the entities. A platform connected to a user's computer has an internal sensor that detects the RFID tag of a token placed on the top of the platform. Timing circuitry in the platform generates a start signal when the sensor detects a token's RFID tag and a stop signal when the token is removed from the platform. Decoding circuitry in the platform generates a data signal identifying the task or entity associated with the token. The user can then use his or her computer to associate the time spent on a task with a particular entity. Tokens include three-dimensional icons or text to identify the task or entity represented by each token, respectively.

  • Patent number: 10786406
Abstract: Powered patient support apparatuses—such as beds, cots, stretchers, or the like—include a plurality of user controls that allow a caregiver to control the steering and/or driving of one or more powered wheels from multiple different locations around the patient support apparatus (e.g. head end, foot end, and/or the sides). The control is carried out by force sensors that detect both an orientation of the applied forces and a magnitude of the applied forces. Translational and/or rotational movement is effectuated, depending upon the magnitude and direction of the forces, as well as the physical location of the applied force relative to a reference point on the support apparatus, such as the center. One or more object sensors may also be included in the support apparatus to assist in steering and/or navigating.
