The present disclosure also relates to a wireless food temperature real-time monitoring system, including the wireless probe for food, a mobile device and/or a wireless range extender for receiving the temperature signals transmitted from the wireless probe. A wireless food temperature real-time monitoring method is also disclosed. The present disclosure can monitor temperature of the food being cooked in real-time in order to better assist users in cooking.

A controller monitors signals received from an operational temperature probe and the high limit temperature probe. Based on these signals, the controller determines if the high limit module is approaching the hard trip condition. If the controller determines the high limit module is approaching the hard trip condition, it preemptively adjusts the output of the heater to avoid the hard trip condition. The controller may thereby prevent the fryer from being completely deactivated by the high limit module.

    Abstract: A system and method for detecting and managing wildfires using fixed sensors is described. The system and method deploy a plurality of fixed sensors in an area to be monitored. Each fixed sensor is operable to detect ambient conditions in the vicinity of the fixed sensor and to relay that information to a central control center. Each fixed sensor dormant until powered by heat from a detected fire allowing the fixed sensor to send data related to the ambient conditions using the transceiver before the sensor device is consumed by the fire. The system can then determine the attributes of the wildfire from the collective data from the plurality of fixed sensors and coordinate the activity of responders in response to the wildfire using the collective data.

The use of a camera allows for a very simple, robust and inexpensive optical output device (e.g. an LED) to be used. The arrangement reduces the equipment cost significantly thereby allowing application across a wider range of products and provides greater flexibility and possibility for analyzing the cold chain integrity.
