  • Patent number: 11934544
Abstract: Target data may be associated with a location requirement established by a data owner. A data access module may be used to attempt access to the target data. Location requirement and provenance metadata associated with the target data are obtained. The provenance metadata must be validated, and evidence only approved data access locations identified in the location requirement. A current location of a computing device attempting access to the target data must also meet the location requirement. The computing device is allowed to access the target data only in response to the current location and each location identified in the provenance metadata meeting the location requirement. The provenance metadata is updated to include a new record including the current data access location.

Abstract: A detection apparatus includes the following elements. Plural terminals are connected to plural contact points in a one-to-one correspondence, the plural terminals and the plural contact points being arranged in a predetermined direction. A power feeding unit feeds power to a substrate via, among the plural terminals, a first terminal positioned at one end in the predetermined direction and a contact point connected to the first terminal. A detector detects a signal which is supplied from the substrate as a result of feeding power thereto and which is received by, among the plural terminals, a second terminal positioned at the other end opposite the first terminal, via a contact point connected to the second terminal. A determining unit determines whether there is a connection abnormality between the plural terminals and the plural contact points on the basis of whether the signal detected by the detector satisfies a predetermined condition.

Abstract: A sheet switch (142) has a bottom layer (144) and a top layer (160). First and second conductors (148, 162) located on the bottom layer (144) form two separate conductive paths, with a voltage potential applied to the conductors (148, 162). The top layer (160) includes a ground conductor (172). Spacers (178) are positioned between the top and bottom layers (160, 144). When forces are externally applied, the spacers (178) collapse and the ground conductor (172) contacts the first and second conductors (148, 162), and establishes a conductive path therebetween.

Abstract: A system for clamping a flexible tube containing medical fluids includes a cable assembly coupled to a remote driver and a slidable clamp that imparts a clamping force to the flexible tube. An electrical continuity detector is included to measure the wear of an internal insulating layer of the cable between a sliding inner wire and a cable casing member. An indication of the wear to the cable is generated in response to a comparison of the electrical integrity of the insulating layer with a threshold. The wear indication enables the cable to be repaired or replaced prior to a malfunction of the overall tube clamp system.
