  • Patent number: 9389796
Abstract: In an approach for locating, preserving, and receiving registers, a register located within a central processing unit is modified a preservation bit, wherein the preservation bit designates when the register is to be preserved. The preservation bit of the register is activated. A preservation bit requests a subroutine to access content held on the register. A register is pushed to a memory source. The bitmask is pushed to a memory source, wherein the bitmask contains information regarding the content pushed to the memory source. The bitmask is popped, at the request of the subroutine, to determine that that content is to be popped. The content is popped from the memory source to the register. The content is returned from the subroutine.

  • Patent number: 8660812
Abstract: Calibration equipment for calibrating multiple test stations in a test system is provided. Each test station may include a test unit, a test chamber with an over-the-air antenna, and a radio-frequency (RF) cable that connects the test unit to the test chamber. Reference devices under test (DUTs) may be used to calibrate uplink and downlink path loss (e.g., OTA path loss, RF cable path loss, and variations of the test unit) associated with each test station. The reference DUTs may calibrate each test station at desired frequencies to generate a path loss table. Once calibrated, the test chambers may be used during production testing to test factory DUTs. During production testing, the transmit/receive power efficiency of each factory DUT may be calculated based on values in the path loss table to determine whether a particular production DUT is a passing or failing DUT according to pass/fail criteria.

  • Patent number: 6611197
Abstract: A method for re-establishing communication between a base station (102) that transmits on a forward channel, and a subscriber unit (108) that has temporarily lost the forward channel, uses the concept of a re-registration interval. The base station (102) transmits, to subscriber units (106, 108) in its area, a signal indicating the duration of a re-registration interval. A subscriber unit that has temporarily lost the forward channel determines whether the duration of such loss exceeds the re-registration interval. If the interval is exceeded, the subscriber unit sends a re-registration signal to the base station on a reverse channel. A selective call transceiver (400) is programmed to operate as a subscriber unit that uses the re-registration interval.
