  • Patent number: 11011904
Abstract: An embodiment of the invention relates to a method for ground fault detection for low-voltage three-phase AC circuits having a neutral conductor, in which first to fourth analog current signals of the first to third phase conductors and of the neutral conductor of the three-phase AC circuit are ascertained that each contain the level or an equivalent of the level of the current. The analog current signals are time-division multiplexed, subjected to a/d conversion, and a sequence of time-division-multiplexed first to fourth digital current values present in first to fourth successive time frames form first to fourth current signals. Three of the four digital current signals are interpolated to ascertain interpolated current values. The current value of the time frame of the uninterpolated current signal and the interpolated current values for the time frame of the uninterpolated current signal are used for discovering the ground fault.

  • Patent number: 8933801
Abstract: A fall detection method determines a fall detection algorithm based on sensor data aggregated from a plurality of fall detection devices. Sensor data is obtained from one of the plurality of fall detection devices not included in the aggregated sensor data. A probable fall event of the obtained sensor data is determined based on the fall detection algorithm. An alarm signal is generated based upon the determination of the probable fall event. A validity of the probable fall event is determined, and the fall detection algorithm is refined using the obtained sensor data and the validity of the probable fall event each time sensor data is obtained from any of the plurality of fall detection devices.

  • Patent number: 8928480
Abstract: A fence for establishing a secure marine perimeter includes an optic fiber net. The optic fiber net includes an optic fiber wire with an input end and an output end. A light transmitter connects to the input end to introduce an input optic signal into the optic fiber wire. A light receiver connects to the output end to receive an output optic signal from the optic fiber wire. A strength member is incorporated into the optic fiber wire to strengthen the optic fiber net. A processor is connected to the light receiver to generate an output signal based on the output optic signal. The processor compares the output optic signal with the input optic signal and generates an alarm if a difference between the input optic signal and the output optic signal exceeds a predetermined alarm threshold.
