  • Patent number: 11397910
Abstract: Systems, methods, and machine-readable media are provided for processing items within an automated storage and retrieval device. A scanned machine-readable identifier associated with an item is received at an automated storage and retrieval device. A determination is made whether the machine-readable identifier that was scanned is a container identification (ID). The machine-readable identifier is identified based on pre-defined criteria when the machine-readable identifier is determined not to be a container ID. The machine-readable identifier is mapped to an existing order using stored order information. A container ID is created by the fulfillment system and passed back to the automated storage and retrieval device. The item is stored in the automated storage and retrieval device using the created container ID.

The PEAD is activated by onboard or remote sensor(s) in proximity to the PEAD. The sensor(s) monitor the occurrence of an emergency activation event. PEAD includes a controller. The controller, triggered by detection of an emergency event by a sensor, activates a geolocation module to obtain geolocation information, formulates an alert message, establishes a network connection, and transmits the message with geolocation information to a personal emergency alert notification service (PEANS). PEANS responds by sending a text, email or other emergency notification to designated notification recipient(s). Once activated, PEAD periodically tracks and transmits its geolocation until it runs out of power. Alternatively, PEAD can be deactivated by sending a deactivation code to the PEANS, which in turn instructs such PEAD to deactivate.

Abstract: A vehicle access system is disclosed having the plurality of system nodes for localizing a target portable device. The plurality of system nodes includes a master ECU that is asymmetrically installed at a predetermined location within the vehicle. The plurality of system nodes includes a plurality of slave system nodes. The plurality of slave system nodes includes an assigned system node that is asymmetrically installed at a predetermined location within the vehicle and a plurality of unassigned system nodes that are installed arbitrarily at any one of a plurality predetermined possible installation locations within the vehicle. The known installation locations of the assigned system node and the master ECU are used to self-learn the unknown installation location of each unassigned system node, for example after manufacturing assembly or repair of the vehicle access system.

  • Patent number: 10900789
Abstract: A positioning method and a mobile device, where the method is applied to the mobile device and includes periodically detecting a status of the mobile device, where the status of the mobile device includes a driving state and a walking state, positioning the mobile device using a first positioning algorithm when detecting that a quantity of times that the driving state consecutively occurs reaches M, where the M is an integer greater than one, and positioning the mobile device using a second positioning algorithm when detecting that a quantity of times that the walking state consecutively occurs reaches N, where the N is an integer greater than one. Hence, the status of the mobile device can be more accurately determined by implementing this technical solution to position the mobile device using a positioning algorithm matching an actual status of the mobile device, thereby improving accuracy of a positioning result.

Abstract: Methods, systems and computer readable media for delivery of event updates are described. Registration information of an event participant for an event is received, the registration information including participant identity information, the event being associated with a physical event location. Subsequently, during the event, a participant device location from a participant device of the event participant is received and compared with the physical event location. Based on the comparison of the participant device location and the physical event location, an event update associated with the event is transmitted to the participant device.

  • Patent number: 10884596
Abstract: A household appliance for treating objects has a control device and an operating device being a touchscreen. First and second adjustable control variables are displayed as flat touch-sensitive operating elements that are separated from each other on the touchscreen on at least two screen displays of different hierarchy. First adjustable control variables are treatment programs and second control variables are program parameters associated with the treatment programs. First operating elements are displayed on a hierarchically higher screen display with a hierarchy and are associated with treatment programs which are selected by touching an associated operating element. Second operating elements are displayed on hierarchically lower screen display and enable the program parameters to be adjusted. The hierarchically lower screen display follows the hierarchically higher screen display if a first operating element is selected by touch.

Abstract: Techniques for geographic information for wireless networks are described. According to various embodiments, a connectivity module on a mobile device receives geographic position information for a mobile device from another functionality of the mobile device and independent of a query by the connectivity module for the information. The connectivity module retrieves the geographic position information locally on the device, and utilizes the geographic position information to cause various actions to be performed. For instance, the connectivity module utilizes the geographic position information to identify a wireless network at a particular geographic region, and to cause a wireless scan to be initiated to detect the wireless network.

Abstract: A system for determining the position of a transmitting unit has an arrangement of at least four transmitting units. A first transmitting unit is designed to emit a first transmission signal to each of the three remaining units, each of which is designed to receive the first transmission signal and, thereafter, to return a first response signal to the first unit. The three remaining units each have stored position data relating to desired positions of the arrangement. The first unit is designed to: determine its relative position data relative to the three remaining units based on the returned first response signals, obtain the stored position data relating to the desired positions from the three remaining units, and assign the determined relative position data to the obtained position data relating to a single desired position to determine the position of the first unit within the arrangement based on the assignment.
