    Abstract: Devices and methods are provided to enhance magnetic field communication. One aspect of the present subject matter relates to a method for transmitting and receiving signals using an antenna element electrically connected to a driver and an amplifier. According to various embodiments of the method, a first signal is transmitted from the antenna element and a second signal that was induced in the antenna element is received. Transmitting the first signal includes driving the first signal through the antenna element using the driver, and monitoring the first signal through an input impedance of the amplifier. Receiving the second signal includes reducing the input impedance of the amplifier, and receiving the second signal at the amplifier through the reduced input impedance. Various embodiments shield the antenna element from electric and electromagnetic fields. Other aspects are provided herein.

    Abstract: An antenna assembly according to the present invention includes an antenna, a protecting device and cables. A radio frequency module is set before the antenna assembly and supplies signal power to the antenna through cables. The protecting device is located between the antenna and the radio frequency module so as to avoid undesired direct current to flow into the radio frequency module. The antenna, protecting device and radio frequency module are connected by cables. Connecting with and protected by the protecting device, the RF module works reliably under the above-mentioned construction of the antenna assembly which can hardly affect the performance of the antenna.

The highly permeable material is subdivided into elongate shielding elements and free spaces arranged between the respective shielding elements such that when the substrate has been attached to the transponder, the shielding elements will be oriented parallel to a magnetic field induced in the antenna structure of the transponder, so as to suppress eddy currents which are generated by the electrically conductive surface in the antenna structure, when the transponder is being introduced in a magnetic field of a respective reading device.

An antenna array mounted to an enclosure is operatively connected to the transceiver through the enclosures for communicating RF data signals. An A/D-D/A board is mounted to an enclosure on an opposite side from the array. A radome is secured over a face of the array, sealed to the housing by a carbon impregnated gasket. An electric motor mounted within the housing and operatively engaging the spindle is controlled by antenna aiming logic for aiming the station and its array. An orifice sealed with a waterproof, breathable membrane allows moisture to escape the housing and prevents moisture infiltration.

    Abstract: A flexible multi-layered metallic tape for deflecting and blocking the RF radiation emitted by various antennas, particularly those used on cellular telephones, satellite telephones or military field radio-phones. Shaping of device around antenna causes multiple effects, including protecting the human user from harmful radiation, for military applications makes RF hard to DF and causes minor amplification of received signals by concentrating them on to antenna. The outer most part of the deflector shield should be made of a solid lead or gold tape that is six thousandths thick and ½? wide wherein a 1? length would weigh ¼ gram. The outer most part would have an insulating flexible adhesive for cladding it to the next inner part. The first inner part of the shield should be made of solid copper foil. Best results coming from a foil that is at least three thousandths thick.

A floating conductor pad comprising a patch of conductive material is configured to be positioned adjacent the antenna to couple to the antenna. The floating conductor pad thereby has a dominant effect on the antenna in the operating environment. This reduces the effects of variations in the other device components on the antenna. Effective selection of the dimensions and location of the floating conductor pad can also cancel noise generated by the other device components from de-sensitizing communications circuitry in a wireless mobile communication device.
