Abstract: The inside of a housing of a printer device is cooled by the air from a ventilation port and, consequently, the temperature of solder SP on a mask surface supported by a mask holding frame inside the housing can be kept low. Moreover, provided is a mask cover for blocking the air flow from the ventilation port toward the mask, and the drying of the solder SP caused by the wind from the ventilation port is thereby inhibited as a result of the wind from the ventilation port not coming into contact with the solder SP on the mask surface. In this way, the solder SP is cooled while inhibiting the drying of the solder SP and, consequently, it is possible to appropriately inhibit the change in viscosity of the solder SP, and favorable printing can be realized.

  • Publication number: 20130002739
Abstract: Apparatus for depositing a texture on a receiver includes a data source that provides multilevel input tint data values based on a job specification. A lossy compressor produces compressed multilevel tint data values from the multilevel input tint data values. A decompressor produces multilevel decompressed tint data values from the compressed multilevel tint data values. A texture memory receives those values from the decompressor and provides corresponding multilevel texture pixel data values. A print engine deposits at each of a plurality of pixel sites on the receiver an amount of texture-forming material corresponding to the respective multilevel texture pixel data value. A loader loads into the texture memory a texture set including multilevel texture pixel data values for each of a plurality of textures, and each texture in the texture set corresponds to a respective selected range of multilevel decompressed tint data value.

  • Patent number: 5450104
Abstract: An ink jet recording apparatus that makes a recording of a measured input at a time occurring at a predetermined cycle and includes a control section for making the recording at the time by printing dots in the form of a segment in a recording sheet width direction. The segment corresponds to a variation of a measured input between a time and a time before such time. For example, the apparatus prints a segment connecting a position corresponding to a measured input value at a certain time to a position corresponding to a measured input at a time before such certain time, or the apparatus prints a segment connecting positions respectively corresponding to a minimum measured input value and a maximum measured input value between a certain time and a time before such certain time. Accordingly, the apparatus produces a printed line apparently close to a line obtained by a continuous recording system, although the recording is intermittent and thus takes place at a predetermined cycle.

  • Patent number: 5095256
Abstract: A drive circuit for driving a piezoelectric (PZ) stack, in response to an excitation voltage, generates a dimensional strain varying along a sinusoidal waveform in a PZ stack by applying an excitation voltage intermittently to a series connection of the PZ stack and a winding via a first switching circuit, and then releases the charge of the PZ stack intermittently via a second switching circuit. A control circuit controls the first and second switching circuits by generating a first and second drive pulse stream so that the charge voltage of the PZ stack returns to its initial state in a period of the first and second drive pulse streams. The charge stored in the PZ stack is released fully and quickly before the application of the next pulse voltage without the use of a resistor, and the resonance current which flows through the PZ stack is constant, thereby allowing the PZ stack to be fully discharged without requiring an exclusive path.

  • Patent number: 4983991
Abstract: The inventon relates to a method and apparatus for marking or recording patient-related information and other necessary data in connection with X-ray imaging on a certain section of a film (6) by using a marking apparatus (2) which is movable relative to film (6). In the method, markings are made latent on film (6) in a manner that the markings become visible in connection with film development. The marking is effected as a sequence, line-directed deviation of a marking being obtained by moving the marking apparatus and the film relative to each other. The marking apparatus (2) used in the method is provided with marking elements which are brought into contact with film (6) for producing a marking on film (6), vertical deviation of alphanumerical marks included in a marking being achieved by individually controlling the operation of each marking element included in the marking apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4084259
Abstract: A dot matrix recording system records a wide range of gray levels without compromising recording resolution. Resolution is maintained by using a relatively small dot matrix, preferably a 2 by 2 matrix, for representation of the graphic information at a point within an image being reproduced. When adjacent points within the image have the same optical density, then the matrix representation thereof is altered from point to point so as to produce a matrix of effectively increased size. The larger matrix or matrix group may comprise 4 of the 2 by 2 matrices positioned in a square arrangement. Thus when two horizontally adjacent points within an image have the same optical density and are situated immediately above two other points having the same optical density, then the four-point area is represented by a matrix group comprising a total of 16 matrix cells arranged in a 4 by 4 pattern.
