Abstract: A method, computer program, and computer system is provided for coding a video sequence. Video data comprising one or more luma samples is received. A YUV format associated with the received video data is determined. A height setting value and a width setting value corresponding to the one or more luma samples are restricted based on the determined YUV format. The YUV format may include a YUV4:4:4 format, a YUV4:2:2 format, a YUV4:2:0 format, and a YUV4:0:0 format.

  • Patent number: 10651955
Abstract: An active sequential xampling receiver for spectrum sensing is disclosed. The receiver includes a dynamically adjustable analog front end to perform sub-Nyquist energy sensing across a broad radio frequency (RF) spectrum. In an exemplary aspect, the receiver includes a dynamic modulator which modulates the broad RF spectrum to dynamically select sub-bands (e.g., RF channels) and fold their spectral content into a narrower baseband signal for energy detection. A controller adjusts the dynamic modulator to maximize utility of the spectrum detection based on past energy observations.

  • Patent number: 10044391
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a radio receiver module for receiving a signal having a lower side band and an upper side band, the module comprising: a noise detector configured to identify a noise frequency associated with an unwanted noise signal within the lower or upper side band; a filter configured to attenuate the noise frequency and increase gain at a mirror frequency within the signal in order to provide a filtered signal, wherein the mirror frequency is within the sideband that is unaffected by the unwanted noise signal and the mirror frequency corresponds to the noise frequency.

  • Patent number: 8516340
Abstract: A data handling system includes a compressive sensing unit that receives a source date file. A sparseness module compressive sensing unit generates a sparse source data file by inducing sparseness into the source data file. A measurement module within the compressive sensing unit generates a compressed sensed source data file from the sparse source data file and based on a sensing matrix. The compressed sensed source data file is to be transmitted to a remote data storage facility for storage. A recovery unit generates the source data file from the compressed sensed source data file retrieved from the remote data storage facility and based upon the sensing matrix.

  • Patent number: 7801389
Abstract: An image is picked up through sampling in a predetermined sampling pattern to acquire an image signal representing the image. Sampling information, which concerns the predetermined sampling pattern, is appended to the image signal, which has been acquired. The sampling information is information for discriminating checkered sampling and square sampling from each other. Different sharpness enhancement processing is performed on the image signal and in accordance with the sampling information to obtain a processed image signal. The different sharpness enhancement processing may be a processing in accordance with frequency characteristics of the image signal, which has been acquired, due to the sampling pattern.

  • Patent number: 6760379
Abstract: In digital video, 3:4 down conversion and 4:3 down conversion are transparently cascaded. The up conversion filter is: Sup(n)=&Sgr;Sinput(k).g(3n−4k) and the down conversion filter is: Sdown(n)=&Sgr;Sup(k).h(4n−3k). The pair of up and down conversion filters are designed so that &Sgr;h(4n−3k).g(3k−4m) is equal to unity if n=m and is otherwise equal to zero.
