Color Patents (Class 348/527)
  • Patent number: 8648965
Abstract: An image signal processor and a method for processing an image signal thereof are disclosed. When the image signal processor executes an automatic chroma gain control (ACC), the image signal processor adjusts a variable rate of ACC gain according to a size of an input color signal to reduce a time for processing the ACC. Even if a difference between the size of the input color signal and the size of a reference color signal is large, the ACC is rapidly processed. As a result, transient phenomenon disappears from a screen.

  • Patent number: 8035739
Abstract: In one aspect a transmission system with a transmitter which can be connected to a video source and a receiver linked to the transmitter via at least four circuit pairs, to which receiver a playback device can be connected is provided. Data is usually exchanged digitally between a graphics card in a personal computer and an LCD display module. The personal computer transmits a digital R, G, B video signal to the LCD display module via a special, so-called DVI (Digital Video Interface) cable. This DVI cable is also provided to transmit so-called DDC (Display Data Channel) data, which particularly comprises specification information of the LCD display module. A transmission system is proposed, which simplifies a connection of an LCD display module to a personal computer and with which the DVI cable can be dispensed with.

  • Patent number: 7321397
Abstract: A color frame identifier circuit generates a pseudo-subcarrier signal and compares the pseudo-subcarrier signal to a sliced color burst of at least one selected line in a video frame. Based on this comparison, a processing circuit determines the color frame.

  • Publication number: 20030048850
Abstract: Television uses a composite video signal to transmit color information. A color signal filter (12, 16) selects one of a plurality of candidate color signals derived from the composite video signal. The plurality comprises a first and second difference signal between the information for a central line and for lines on a first side and a second side of the central line respectively. The color signal filter promotes selection of the first difference signal over the second difference signal and vice versa according to whether the composite video signal represents an image with an edge on the second or first side of the central line respectively at the horizontal position. The apparatus contains circuitry (14) to detect a thin line configuration where data from the composite video signal for the central line is extreme relative to corresponding data for first and second lines on the first and second side respectively at the horizontal position.

  • Patent number: 6104440
Abstract: The image signal processing apparatus for a prompter is intended to improve ease in viewing an image when using clock frequencies synchronized to the sub-carriers of the four-field sequence. That is, the sub-carriers with different phases are separated from the video signal, in-phase clock signals from which phase shift in the sub-carriers is eliminated are generated by a timing signal generator circuit, and image data in all four fields are processed with the clock signals. This reduces flickering on the screen. The timing signal processing circuit may generate in-phase clock signals for odd fields and in-phase clock signals for even fields, and shift the phase between them by 180.degree. so that pixels in an oblique direction are obliquely aligned with half pixel shift between both clock signals. This is particularly effective for an oblique line.

  • Patent number: 5539472
Abstract: An input signal is inputted to an A/D converter through an amplifier and is converted into a digital input signal. A vertical synchronizing pulse and a horizontal synchronizing pulse are taken out of the output signal of the amplifier by means of a TV synchronizing separator and inputted to a trigger gate and selector circuit. A delay timer and a timing control circuit are operated by a selected synchronizing pulse, and the data applied with A/D conversion are stored in a memory in accordance with a set delay time and sampling synchronization. The stored data are read by means of a CPU circuit. The state of a burst signal is decided by the CPU circuit, and separation of eight fields is performed by combining that state with a set state of the TV synchronizing separator.
