Abstract: An electronic apparatus includes, a printed wiring board, light emitting diodes provided on the printed wiring board and configured to emit light parallel to the printed wiring board, and a lens including light receiving parts corresponding to the light emitting diodes, respectively, and a display part configured to display light which has been emitted from the light emitting diodes and has entered through the light receiving parts. The lens is provided with a cutout portion extending from a position between the light receiving parts to the display part.
Abstract: A cathode ray tube having a ferrite core with a modified sectional configuration facilitates the correction of a mis-convergence along a diagonal direction of a screen, improves the efficiency with which electrons within electron beams are deflected, and is manufacturable via a simplified process.
Abstract: A thin cathode ray tube display system and associated components are disclosed. The system includes a thin cathode ray tube, a body having a substantially flat back element and a front element attached wherein a vacuum is maintained in the body, a neck element attached substantially perpendicular to the flat back element, wherein the neck element contains at least one electron gun for the emission of electrons, a transparent screen attached to the front element, the transparent screen having at least one phosphor layer operable to emit a photon of known wavelength and a substantially flat electron beam controller attached substantially perpendicular to the neck element operable to deflect an electron beam emitted by the at least one electron gun.
Abstract: A deflection yoke has first and second horizontal deflection coils formed of a solid wire. A first bobbin and a second bobbin are formed in one-piece construction with each other. The first coil-end lead of the first horizontal deflection coil and the second coil-end lead of the second horizontal deflection coil are wound around the second bobbin to form a balance coil such that the balance coil is formed continuous with horizontal deflection coils. After the first and second horizontal deflection coils and the balance coil have been wound around the respective bobbins, the second bobbin may be separated from the first bobbin and then the second bobbin may be mounted to a desired part of the first bobbin.
Abstract: An apparatus for attaching a degauss coil to a cathode-ray tube can simplify a manufacturing process by reducing the number of assemblies for attaching a degauss coil stretched over a curved surface of a funnel of a cathode-ray tube. This apparatus includes a front cabinet for holding a cathode-ray tube with a screen on which an image is displayed by the scanning of electron beams and a degauss coil disposed at the rear of the cathode-ray tube for degaussing the cathode-ray tube wherein degauss coil holders for holding the degauss coil are unitarily formed as one body with the front cabinet.
Abstract: A deflection system which improves picture distortion and misconvergence by eliminating the wrong winding of coil. in which a bobbin 20 for the deflection coil, whose partial cross section is of a funnel shape, is mounted on the outer peripheral surface of a cathode ray tube between a neck and a funnel for winding a deflection coil 26 thereon. When the deflection coil is wound from a bend onto the inner surface of a bobbin body, a coil layer regulating portion 40 is formed at a claw on the bend side. The coil layer regulating portion is a thick-wall portion formed on the inside of the claw on the bend side. By this thick-wall portion, a horizontal deflection coil 26 is wound on an average with respect to the bottom of respective bends 22 and 24 even when the horizontal deflection coil is wound from the bend 22, 24 onto the inner surface of the bobbin body. As a result, the coil is wound on an average with respect to a coil groove inside the bobbin, so that the wrong winding of coil is eliminated.
