Abstract: A goggle may include a goggle frame, a lens assembly magnetically coupled to the goggle frame, and first and second retention features securing the lens assembly to the goggle frame at first and second locations, respectively, to resist decoupling of the lens assembly from the goggle frame. The lens assembly may be removable from the goggle frame by actuating only one of the first retention feature or the second retention feature. A method of removing a lens assembly from a goggle frame may include actuating a first latch securing the lens assembly to the goggle frame; after actuating the first latch, pivoting the lens assembly away from the goggle frame about a second latch securing the lens assembly to the goggle frame; and after pivoting the lens assembly, laterally translating the lens assembly away from the second latch without actuating the second latch.

Abstract: Clip-on sunglasses for plastic eyeglass frames are shaped more like a bracket, with a nearly 90° bend to accommodate the thickness of plastic eyeglass frames. The ends of the bracket also angle for 45° towards each other to avoid hitting the nose piece of the plastic eyeglass frame. In the clip-on sunglasses, a latch controls two arms to rotate the arms up to a 45° angle with respect to a pair of plastic eyeglass frames. The arms are formed in three bent portions so as to extend away from an interconnecting rod portion. The three bent portions of the arms allows the latch to fit the shape of the plastic eyeglass frame along the bridge portion of the eyeglass frame as effectively as possible and minimizes movement of the clip-on sunglasses relative to the eyeglass frame.

Abstract: An eyeglass system including primary glasses and detachably engageable auxiliary glasses. The auxiliary glasses include a first and second auxiliary lens connected together by a bridge. Each lens has an exterior surface, an interior surface, and a peripheral edge extending between the interior and exterior surfaces. An aperture is defined in each of the lenses and this aperture extends between the interior and exterior surfaces, and originates in the peripheral edge and extends for a distance into the lens. A connector is engaged in the aperture in each of the lenses and this connector detachably engages the primary glasses. Preferably, the aperture is keyhole-shaped and the connector includes a boss that is a complementary keyhole shape. The connector may be provided with a magnet that is attracted to a magnet embedded in a lens of the primary glasses.

Abstract: A lens structure including a quarter wave plate layer and a linear polarizing plate layer is provided. When the linear polarizing plate layer is located at an outer side of the lens away from a viewer's eye, the polarizing axis of the linear polarizing plate layer is in a vertical direction. The lens structure can be used to make dual-purpose eyeglasses with sunglasses and 3D glasses functions. Any one of the quarter wave plate layer and the linear polarizing plate layer can be disposed at the outer side away from the user's eyes by adjusting the orientation of the lens of the present invention. When the linear polarizing plate layer is located at the outer side away from the user's eyes, the optical axis of the linear polarizing plate layer is in the vertical direction. Thus, the dual-purpose eyeglasses with both sunglasses and 3D glasses functions can be achieved.

Abstract: An eyewear system for supporting one or more lenses on the face. Each lens is supported by receipt between a pair of suction cups on opposing prongs extending from an arm having a ball-end, the ball end received within a socket/cavity in a bridge piece engaged to the nose. The cavities may be formed with multiple apertures to opposing surfaces such that the arm can be rotated about the ball so as to permit the lens to be moved out of the line of site of the wearer. Multiple lenses may be supported in series within the prongs of a lens clip, in which case a double-sided suction cup is positioned between them to properly secure and space them. Removable temple pieces are optionally provided to support the lens over the ear, the temple pieces being engaged to the outside edges of the lens(es) with suction cup enabled lens clips as at the bridge piece.
