Counter Rotatable Patents (Class 352/215)
  • Patent number: 9791690
Abstract: A shutter assembly includes a first shutter blade having a first toothed arm extending therefrom and a first light transmitting aperture therein, and a second shutter blade positioned adjacent and parallel to the first shutter blade. The second shutter blade has a second toothed arm extending therefrom and a second light transmitting aperture therein. The first and second shutter blades are supported to allow parallel linear motion. A motor gear is disposed between, and meshed with, the first and second toothed arms such that rotation of the gear causes the first and second shutter blades to move linearly in opposite directions between an open position in which the first and second light transmitting apertures are in an overlapping relationship with respect to one another, and a closed position in which the first and second light transmitting apertures are in a non-overlapping relationship with respect to one another.

  • Patent number: 7276686
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for detecting the opening angle of the shutter (light or dark sector) of an adjustable rotating shutter (1) arranged in a film camera. Said shutter comprises a circular-segment-shaped or circular-sector shaped shutter wing (2) which is driven by a shutter motor via a shutter shaft (20), and also comprises an adjustable shutter adjustment wing (3) arranged in a coaxial manner in relation to the shutter wing (2) and which can be displaced in relation to said shutter wing by means of a shutter adjustment wing motor (33). According to the invention, the position of the shutter wing (2) and the position of the shutter adjustment wing (3) are detected during a rotation of the rotating shutter (1) and the difference between the two positions forms a value for the shutter opening angle or the light or dark sector of the rotating shutter (1).

  • Patent number: 6850351
Abstract: An apparatus and method for extremely fast opening and closing of an exposure path or optical axis. Two disk-shaped shutters are coaxially rotated in opposite directions at an initial synchronous speed so as to dynamically align openings in the discs at an angular position offset from the exposure path. The angular speeds of two of the disks are selectively increased and decreased to dynamically align the openings with the exposure path. A third masking disk may be provided, which rotates coaxially with the other two at a constant angular speed less than the angular speeds of the other two disks, to permit the invention to rapidly open and close two or more separate optical paths.

  • Patent number: 4971435
Abstract: In an alternate eye 3-D motion picture projection apparatus of the rolling loop type, light projection is accomplished by the combination of focal plane shutters that are coupled to the rotor of the projector and a supplementary shutter arrranged to trim the projected light so that discrete "left eye" and "right eye" images are projected. Various embodiments are disclosed in which a rotary blade shutter is located at the stop of the projection lens. Where there are two projection lenses, a single blade or two counter-rotating blades trim the light projected through both lenses.

  • Patent number: 4637701
Abstract: A shutter for use in a television camera, including: a casing having a first wall having a first opening formed therethrough for allowing incident light from a lens of the television camera to pass through the first opening and a second wall opposingly disposed to the first wall and having a second opening aligned to the first opening for allowing the incident light to pass through the second opening into a body of the television camera; a first disc member supported within the casing to be rotatable about an axis thereof and in parallel with the first and the second walls, the first disc member having a first shutter hole formed therethrough; a second disc member supported within the casing to be rotatable about an axis thereof and in parallel with the first and the second walls, the second disc member having a second shutter hole formed therethrough, the first disc member and the second disc member being disposed to overlap at overlapping areas at peripheries thereof with a gap, the first and second shutter
